I used to have the sweetest attention HO of a Golden. She would play dead on the sidewalk or while crossing a busy street - and refuse to break character for anything. People would yell off their balconies and stop their cars offering help. I'd tell them some proper petting of her belly and praising of her cuteness and acting abilities would be healing miracles...and help me greatly in getting her ridiculous arse home. RIP Taylor, you beautiful piece of work! 💗💗

I need a helper like that very smart pupper. I’m an old Hippie chick (72 which shocks me to my core having just had a birthday) and I’m a Hospice patient (COPD plus Congestive Heart and lung failure. It’s my own fault of course - turns out there are consequences for smoking weed for 53 years as if there’s no problem like needing oxygen to keep living. Anyway I also hate severe Rheumatoud Arthritis - the least jog my problems but the most frustrating. I drop everything I try to pick up, hold onto, carry, etc. normally there’s someone around that helps me - my fiancé, but he had surgery two days ago and can’t get up into his truck yet. (Stomach surgery really took him down for the count here the last few days. But I laughed so hard at all the videos I’m this post, cheered me right the fuck up and made me really want a helper pooch. I’m not allowed a pet where I live so it’s just a wish atgthis point but MY God, that little doggo that got the chisel, that was brilliant. Maybe I can teach my fiancé to be that well trained. One can only hope. Lol Hm I wonder if there are helper cats? They are easy to hide from a landlord and don’t bark or need to go outside. But they don’t have thumbs - a major drawback. My boxer, Rocko, was trained like that. I could either send him across first, and he'd have to sit and wait no matter how long it took for me to join him; more challenging (but he got it!) was waiting while I crossed and then released him to come join me. Always important to drill into them that when they come to a curb to STOP & WAIT, until called. I had my Shih Tzu trained, but Daddy doesn't enforce rules on their walks together (then gets frustrated the dog doesn't listen 🤦🏼♀️)

Last night sitting on the couch with my husband and dog, my husband, I don’t remember why, laughed like Spongebob. Then, I did the Patrick Star leedle, leedle, lee… then, my dog howled. We kept it going for a minute… it really gets is laughing. Every time my dog hears the Spongebob laugh or the leedle, leedle, lee… my dog howls. 😂

That dog who hasn't seen grandma in 6 months probably caught her scent and that's why it went to her. They don't rely on their eyes half as much as they do their nose. I've seen many dogs, including my own, who didn't recognize their owner but knew the scent.
