Michael Kiwanuka saw album 'Love & Hate' reach number one and received a Mercury Prize for follow-up 'Kiwanuka', produced by Danger Mouse and Inflo. His soul pop is alternately funky, then rocking and sometimes even leans towards gospel. 'Home Again' is a permanent fixture in the Top 2000. With 'On My Knees' he joined the illustrious list of vocalists - Thom Yorke, Richard Ashcroft, Mark Lanegan - who collaborated with UNKLE. It is not surprising that Kiwanuka was allowed to add its tenth season in the Champions League of singer/songwriters in 2021.

I JUST heard him on John Mayer's Siruis radio and he is Fantastic! Such a pleasure to listen to!
He doesn't invest in fame.
His 2019 record is unbelievably great. Made me unironically cry several times. One of the best around when it comes to soulful music.

Michael Rocks! I have played guitar/vocals for over 40 years so you can trust my judgment; he is a solid musician winning the ears of many with canted timings, slanted key changes, and just overall brilliant composition; Simple, yet elegant and enrapturing. Love it!

I went to the same concert in Berkeley @ the Greek theater but Michael kiwanuka was sick that day and didn't perform. Was so disappointing 😞.
