So much fun many thanks, I also seem to have a load of useful rubbish/ stuff in my workshop, great when one finds a use for something kept for 30 years! Thanks again, moving swiftly on to no: 10 now.
I love this charming 'Kitsugi' star, Ruth. Kind of mosaic meets stained glass meets gilding! Am now wondering if the 'flash cure' properties of UV resin might ever help you in the initial joining of the china pieces. Even if you fill in with traditional epoxy afterwards, the flash-curing is really handy for getting an instant bond to then manipulate something without it slipping about. You can do it with a little pen UV-LED light almost instantly, then a minute under a UV lamp for a permanent cure. I know you're a gilder and not a crafter of course, so this project is a one-off almost - but I thought you may possibly not have come across UV resin before...
Very creative.
You are so creative! Love it!
Thank you my dear, you gave me inspiration for a last minute gift. This is so lovely, where the light shows through ❤
I like this very much! I love the patterns and color on old china and pottery.
