2006 BMW M5 E60 Review!! A V10 Bavarian Supercar?

The E60 M5 has always been one of my dream cars, Driving this car definitely did not disappoint.
Let me know what you think about the M5! Would you take the S85 or the S65 engine in the M3?

I own 2 of these magnificent machines! 1 is my daily driver: 08 Sepan Bronze. The other: 07 Silver Stone for Road-trips!
Rod Bearings fail prematurely on S85s that have been poorly maintained, not warmed up properly, and idiots that sit on the rev-limiter!
Any car that’s abused and neglected will have catastrophic failure. I’m a professional driver and work on my own M cars myself. So I know what I’m talking about.

I own and drive a M5 E60 as my second car since 2017. I have Hartge backboxes with custom x-pipe. Never gonna sell my car!

I keep my e60 m5 for occasional longer trips, other than that it’s kept garaged. I let my little runner do the day to day stuff.
The most important thing with the v10 is always let it warm up completely before putting any significant load through the engine. The oil and engine components have to get up to operating temperatures to function properly.
Really the e60 m5 is a high speed cruiser. It will drive to the south of France and back without breaking sweat.
It’s not designed to be abused like so many were in their earlier years.

I also have an M5....and love it!
I have the M/T and like as a driver.
Failure of the S85 is way overstated, and I thank the media for driving down the cost of purchase.
Maintain and it will is a great engine, but it is a "super car" engine.
