    When the super brights came out I bought a bunch of sets but there were several sets with defective strings. The company said there had been some issues with the machine and they sent me replacement sets. But even in those there sets were some bad ones.
    The other thing that was problematic for me was this:
    All my 4 string basses have Hipshot 2 stage D tuners on them ( D and C) and because of the inherent lower tension of the Dunlops I was not able so solidly lock in the middle position on the Hipshot for the low D. I had to use a very light touch or else the lever would slip out of the D position down to the low C. The strings sounded really good but they were inconsistent. It is possible those bugs were worked out but I don't know and I am hesitant to take another chance on them. Maybe for me new Sire V7 5 string.

      I had the same issues especially with Marcus Miller sets dead a and e strings right out the pack on going issue
