Hi Shweta Di! Thank you for all the motivation!! Di, I left my job in July this year to prepare for CAT. But I gave up on preparation 2 months back as I was unable to solve a single question from Algebra and Geometry, which demotivated me a lot(I am a non-engineer and was studying maths after 5 years). I felt like a failure and it was hard for me to even open the quants book as I knew I won't be able to do anything. (Initially tried to complete the whole quant syllabus in 2 months as I had only 4 months for CAT and save 2 months for mocks and analysis) I was going to skip the CAT exam this year as I was very low on confidence. But I went there only because you keep motivating us to not give up. So, I thought I should at least go there and see it and feel what it is really like to take CAT. I went there with no expectations, I wasn't expecting that I will be able to do a single question but to my surprise, I did 4 questions in Quants and 5 in DILR, and all of them were correct, I did not use any formula because I had stopped preparing and just used common sense. (Just checked my answer key). I also did 2 sets of RC and 4 questions of VA and this is where I messed up a little bit. After taking the real CAT and scoring better than my expectations (not good enough to get i nto an IIM though) I am pretty confident that I can do much better if I prepare well without doubting myself and I also I have to manage my maths phobia. Di, Thank you so much for always motivating me. It means a lot to have someone like you. Di, I have just one last request. As you suggested to either take a job or a course. I am from mass comm background with PGD in Mass comm, will the panel judge me if I do one more course instead of taking a job or they will treat both (job or online course) similarly? Di, I used to work in PR and was not happy with it that's why I left my job, don't want to join the same again.
I'm so glad you went and tested yourself, it will surely keep you confident throughout your preparation. Regarding your question - taking up a course just to fill up the gap will raise questions unless it's really something you wish to learn. You quit your job for a logical reason, same way your reason for doing a course should be logical. Instead, think what you're really interested in exploring, like genuinely and pursue that - could be an internship/hobby/course, it should be out of curiosity & exploration and not just to fill up the gap. Good luck! 🤞

Love your videos and following you from Quora where I use to read all your answers.
Thank you so much, it's always a pleasure connecting with the Quora community ♥️ Age isn't a bar wrt to MBA but depends how old are you. E.g. the eldest person in my batch was 32 and had a PG + work-ex already. Made it to MBB (consulting) later. So age isn't a bar. Most of my batchmates were around 26/27 when they entered.

I have a gap of 4 years because I was very sick. Once i recovered, i started searching for a job and started working in Customer support as i needed money. I worked in Flipkart as customer support for 1 year 9 months and I had to leave during covid because I got sick again. I was suffering from Tuberculosis and again took a treatment for 2 years. Now, i am preparing for CAT. Will they be convinced if I tell them I was very sick? I have all the reports and documents too
Maam can you make videos on family business? As in what type of questions may come on our way or how should we be prepared for this in an interview.
Sure, will do that!

Hello ma'am,thank you for addressing the issue of gap years.
I had mailed you recently regarding workex in family business and gap years. Since you have addressed a part of the question in this video,it would be really helpful if you adress the other half as well.
Thank you
Thank you for the feedback, I am not sure what your question is but for family business, the relevant proofs are registration deed, GST certificate, salary slips, cheques or stamped letterhead document stating your work-ex. Do add a new comment if you have any more questions around it.
Nice video mam 😊
Waiting for data analytics video 😇
Thank you so much 🙌
I have one doubt...do we get high paying job after year gap after engineering?

Like every dos and don'ts then what I need to know, authentic places to apply for like everyhting regarding it , a good plan for those who want to start it , like for beginners . Thanks again ❤️
Hey Ananya, thank you so much 🙌 There is a video on dress code for interviews on the channel, I'll also make a video for this session next month. You can find good clothes on Amazon also - cantabil is the brand I liked during my college days.
Mam I had 5 years of Gap after 12th bcoz of Neet preparation for 2 years and then I handled my business bcoz the Covid had impact on me and I simultaneously prepared for Neet as well!!
It's perfectly okay, you just need to share what you did and why. That's it.

Sure, great suggestion! Thank you 😊
Very useful video. Thank you sis
Thank you so much 🙌
Hello Sweta di, Thank you so much for such an insightful video. Apart from feeling worthy I find it difficult to justify my age to myself(not to the interviewer). I feel with every gap year I am growing older and older. Half of the time I panic about my age. It would be helpful if you can share your insight/opinion on this.
PLZ ANSWER--Took 1 year gap for CAT, again scored very low.....What should I do?
You should either take up a job or a long term course and prepare for CAT alongside.
After class 12 I took a drop for studying for neet exam and I couldn't make it out.I joined bsc agriculture and now I wanted to do ABM AS my pg degree . Didi will this neet drop affect my interview or how should I handle this
No, it won't affect it - as shared in the third part of the video, you just need to convince the interviewers with logic and confidence.
Thank you so much mam
You inspire me a lot♥️
@@PAVITHRAG-ig2vi Thank you so much, means a lot 🙏
Hello di!
I really love your videos they have helped me in so many ways all my CAT related questions have been answered thanks to yours vids , i just had a Q i am really weak at quant and i watched your video for joining coaching and the ideal time to join coaching is in Jan i want to ask should i first clear my basics of quants and then join coaching or should i join coaching in Dec
Thank you so much 😊 Ideally, clearing some level of basics will always help, especially if your quant isn't good because coaching institutes never start from scratch.
@@Shweta-Arora Thank you so much 😊

Hello di! Thank you so much for always being by our side and giving us so much💓
I have a question to ask
I completed my grad this year and appeared for CAT22 but it didn't go well. So now I am planning to prepare for CAT23 and this time I have decided to do a job along with my prep. So my question is for how long shall i do the job?
Thank you so much 😊 I'd suggest to not think of the duration and instead go with the flow - take CAT'23 alongside job and if it goes well, quit after interviews. If it doesn't stick to the job.
Thank you so much di🌼
Hii i have doubt in my mind so i just want clarity
I have one year gap in between 10th & 12th
10th (8.6CGPA) 2016
12th (64.8%) 2019
BBA (69.76) 2022
I'm preparing for cat 2023
So will that one year gap between 10th and 12th cause any problem in getting iims and yes what should i do to justify that one year gap.
Please tell me
Very much helpful mam ❤

So i do not have any valid reason/solution.please guide me to tackle this problem,if you help me out through this problem I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life.
Hi Shweta, since most of the people tell to do a job/internship in related field, and doing something in unrelated fields would not add much value.
So do we really go for NGOs, tutoring or any other non related field?
2. Are coursera free courses worth? Would you advice us to go for that even if we are not going for mba, asking for my sister

Most wanted video for me...
Happy to hear!
Hello
I am having 2 years of work experience. My job is a shift based job and commute is around 3 hrs daily. Many times during manpower shortage. Need to work for 16 hours.
And i have decided that i only want to do mba. The job is monotonous and it isn't interesting me anymore. I quit because i can't focus because i work in shifts. Hardly getting 1-2 hrs.
Somewhere or the other i know I'm not liking this job and i want to switch in some managerial role.
Is it a good enough explanation?
I'm giving cat 2023. I'm facing bit of anxiety now
