Turn your old phone into an security alarm
When the door opens you get a call to your phone
You can make a security device with an old phone
and microrupteur
you have to set the phone on speed call first
solder 2 wire on the key you set
solder microrupteur
you can get the microrupteur from microwave or in electric store
The copper wire is taken from an old transformer. it is coated with insulating material and does not take a lot of space - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี

Not here in the US if it's a GSM phone, and so old it does not even have 3G bands, as AT&T, and T-Mobile have shut down the 2G towers to make way for 5G, and the CDMA networks Verizon, and Sprint are soon to follow.
It using voice line dude, not the data line
@@dynamicautotech90 Does not matter if it's voice, or Data none of it works on 2G anymore here in the US on GSM AT&T, T-Mobile, their sub companies, or any of the MVNO companies that buy bulk time on their towers, and the CDMA carriers Verizon, and Sprint along with their sub companies, and the MVNO that buy bulk time on their towers are all soon to follow as well because of 5G, and the slowest network that will work is 3G for again both voice, and data.
Commodorefan64 people are still transmitting and receiving light and sound through analog with radio technology... the police in the uk still use analog as well
Imagine watching this to nearly the end and the guy just start throwing eggs at the phone
One of the worst things on TH-cam is that
You just given some new TH-camr an idea

A bit raw but clever!
You don't have to have the phone behind the door, just the switch.
Then connect an extended bell wire to the phone which, say, it may be in the kitchen or hall way, permanently connected on a charger so it never runs out of battery.
This way, it's not an eyesore sitting behind the door ( ..so you keep the wife happy!.. lol) and it's just as functional.
Excellent idea for house security!

It's not *really* a good idea to keep an old phone on permanent charge status. I kept a, not so old Samsung on its charger, using it as a tethered modem... Ultimately, the battery expanded to such a degree that it popped the cover, it swelled up to almost twice its girth... Had I not been startled by the expanding battery popping the cover and disconnected its charger, it might well have caught fire. It was certainly pretty hot to touch... So if one does employ this rather ingenious hack alarm system, use a new battery.
@@Deebz270 you probably dont need to keep those on charge.. Just charge them once in 2 weeks.. Those phone really last long
Just use a smart charger which stops charging when the battery gets full.
@@royalarmy1837 I didn't know such things existed, I do have a vape which switches off when the battery is fully charged!
Nice way to use old devices. Instead of a PLC, IO card and few hours to program.. A Simple phone ! Good idea man !
@@malekajarmah3862 you have a problem man. Get a life.
Ingenious and industrious! Awesome re-use/recycling of old technology
Very clever, but I think I'll just buy a new door bell ;0 )
There are people who like to be creative and create things.
It's not a door bell it's a security device .. you get a call Everytime someone opens the door how will you hear a door bell from your work place .. you will get call from anywhere in the world
This actually reminds me more of a Bomb trap out of movies than a break in Warning.
Also you would need to load the battery every 2 or 3 weeks. They still had some good standby times with these old phones though ^^
good idea thanks I will try that
Amazing , the best use of an old keypad phone.thanks for this idea.
I am from the year 2071 and I time travel , This to me is like black and white .nice video
Nice idea. I made those too some 10-15 yrs ago. But I would’t use enameled copper wire because it can easily make a shot circuit.
What would you use?
LOL this is literally my main phone nowdays!
Nokia you can use it as a weapon, endless battery source, and a bulletproof vest
And you can call people with it
What if, the theif breaks in and quickly cuts the outgoing call... Lol.
By the way, great idea and nice video.... Keep it up!

Ali Hardware BRO IM SORRY TO TELL YOU KEYPAD SPELLING in video IS WRONG
Instead of placing the phone on the door it would have been better to place on the door frame. Less movement. Also would be easy to plug in the charger. It could always be plugged in.
staary zajebisty pomysł, zawsze się zastanawiałem jak wykonać taki alarm lecz nie wiedziałem jak skonfigurować telefon. LUBIE TO! :D
Very good idea thanks man
something different ... good job but you did a mistake... you can't charge your small phone because charging port is blocked with wood
I thought the charging of the phone in situ will be a bit messy and clumsy. But, great idea!
It's a Nokia, that thing will only need to be charged once every 3 months LOL
this model charging port placed on side of the phone

Pretty much, just leave the phones out and instead of the number 2 button wire up a 9v source going to matchstick over a molotov cocktail :P
firsy you need to unlock the keypad, that helped me alot bro thanks.
After watching this I got all my old phones out ... and threw them in the bin !

Brilliant work... you are genius..
Thanks i didn’t know how the microrupteur was named
But you would also need a cell service for the old phone in order to call the new one?
Ya , you would have to keep service going on the ohone you tore apart, how much would that cost ya?
.. ¤¡ ▪
I would use a prepaid card. Just make sure it has money on the card and leave it there.
@@argkatt9040 ; I was thinking about it, but those cards are a scam too, the minutes expire every 30 or 90 days (depending on the plan) even if you never used them, and then you are forced to buy a new card. But if you wait too long, the sim card is also deactivated. So keeping track of the expiration dates can be a pain.
@@JohnSmith-cj9cx Huh, back in the day when I had one as a kid they lasted an entire year without charging them with money. They might have changed it though. If you can find one that lasts a year it would be perfect for the job.

You hackers are amazing. I mean, c'mon, Really?! Possibilities abound.
Is this sarcasm?
ilkhgs no hacking just modifying
@@dnh3005 Well sure but... Nowadays you might run into some life hacks that use some computer tech or gadgets. Morphing a language can be a hack. Or simply put hack can mean: a clever tip or technique for doing or improving something. Use an item for other than it's design intent. Is not morphing a PHUN thing to do.
