C4 extends the Petrify duration of his burst C6 allows you to heal whenever the shield takes damage which basically counters Zhongli's weakness to Corrosion.

Don't, C6 is pretty much useless on him. Its pretty much only a "Look how much I like the character" thing for whales. Only corrosion can reasonably inconvenience you under his shield and the C6 healing is so little that it will not help you. C2 is a good stopping point if you want cons for him, C4 if you want the big meteor.
As a C0 Zhongli owner, i can proudly say that i still uses him against rifthounds for a fancy hollow cylinder shaped yellow shield. It can still block a direct attack against them even when my entire characters are having a fiasco from the corrosion effect.
My wallet is 1000 dollars lighter, and I forgot where the dodge button is. If this game is around for another decade, I'd have got my money's worth and then some.
They need energy for the burst and the tap E has lower cooldown to put the pillars to generate energy. Besides, they'll get a shield anyway with burst, so it makes sense to me.
I one co-op with c6 zhongli at azdaha, but that zhongli main don't say anything bout c6, and we go with kokomi too, it's so funny bcs everyone go shock and kokomi there just like for mental support 🤣
