    Hello, good video !
I think "fin" usually stands for "enfin" but we pronounce it too fast so we cut it. We usually use it when we no longer know how to continue our sentence or to sum up. "Fin, tu vois ce que je veux dire ?"
Also, at 4:21 the guy says "en fait" which is also something we say quite often, to mean "in reality" or "actually". A lot of people use "du coup" or "en fait" as much as ponctuation, it doesn't always mean something, sometimes it's just a habit of language like some english people say "like" every 2 seconds.
Mec/meuf and truc are super useful ! We basically use them all the time because it's easier to say "truc" than to try to remember the name of the object we're speaking about. That's why it's always used in oral french, but not written.

The above comment is true. I Can vouch for it as a french mec :D
"Si je ne me trompe pas" is not just a filler either.
There is the Idea of saying "i might be mistaken but i think..."
Or "... But i might be mistaken".
Though i agree on the fact that anybody Can use this kind of phrase.

I’m a native English speaking New Yorker, new to French language learner, using FluentU as my wordlists/flashcard base.
Could you point us to a video to show us how to use FluentU to create flashcards with French phrases please?
The reason is because we would import French phrases into FluentU and it would chop it up into the individual words when doing the quiz.
    Please help?
