Any alternative to this? 2016 GTI here, changed the fuse and still just a blank screen when performing reset. Thanks!

Hi, do you have a black screen all the time or are you able to see a logo or something and them you do the reset?
If you have no reaction at all it might be a hatdware problem

My stereo got the same problem, turns on, shows vw logo, appear banda or media menus, then switch off to black screen, and shows onthe central display "infotainment switch off"

does the reset delete my Saved data such as phone connections or Navi data ?

No this will only restart your system but not dalete any saved data.
This is done so the system will forget the errors saved in the cache.
