Well brother Mike has a special place in our family’s heart and he has been such a blessing to us, and is one of my spiritual heroes, with singing and preaching. We have been listening to the Ispirations for 48 years but I totally agree with Brother Mike there couldn’t be a better group of 4 men carrying on this legacy then these young men now . It’s just all for Gods Glory .
This is awesome... I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Mike, Archie, Troy, and Eddie singing together for Martin's memorial service. Those 4 could travel right now and do well!
@@tylershoemaker I'd say that Heaven gained a new Pianist! Ol' Brother Cook was a whiz on the Ol' Piano. And-You could tell that he had fun playing those good old-fashioned Gospel tunes, too. I love the Conservative style of the Inspirations Quartet. Always have, always will!
In my humble opinion, Brother Michael T. Holcomb is one of the most underrated, and unfortunately, one of the most overlooked, Gospel Bass Singers, ever! In my opinion, he's even better than Ray Dean Reese ever was, although Ray Dean Reese is an absolute legend in Gospel Music. Brother Holcomb can sing lower than a lot of Gospel Bass Singers, even today, and has a much better tone and much better staying power, than a lot of today's Gospel Bass Singers! If I was looking for an Old-Timey Bass Singer to have in any group that I could put together to sing Bass, Brother Michael T. Holcomb is my first choice. Period!!!
Thank you to whomever has posted these videos from that night. Takes me back throughout all the years of my childhood. So blessed to get to call him dad, and my kids get to call him papaw.
I saw your dad at a Church in Folsom Ga. when I was 13 and I believe it was the same year he joined the Inspirations. But he was singing with someone else at the time I saw him. He was 17 if I remember correctly, because everyone was going on about a 17 year old singing bass like that. Man time flies. I'm 63 now and can remember it like it was yesterday. Funny thing there wasn't a lot of people there. Maybe 20.
Mike Holcomb is a Best Bass Singer & still is and I love it
I Love This Song With Mike Holcomb ❤🙏

They really could!
Are you talking about Martin Cook, by any chance? Has He passed away? I ask that, because of seeing the term "Memorial Service".
@@ronaldshank7589 Yes he passed several months ago and this was a memorial service for him.

I have met Mike Holcomb and his wife
I have met him! A very nice man of dignity, class, and high integrity! I have great respect for the man!
Me and my mom had him and his wife in our apt many years ago for dinner
Amen
Angels.
Intonation
Mike probably hasn't sung that since '76 😂
You can't beat bass singing from ole 6'4 94
Why not sing the 3rd verse instead of just repeating the same verses?
Or only haven’t sung it since 2013
Sorry but they do not compare!
