And lets talk cameras on public buildings. Most of their cameras are in plain sight and want to use "Security Purposes" as an excuse. They ask for private business's footage when investigating but I can't request footage that pertains to me from a PUBLICLY FUNDED BUILDING that I pay for. 🤦 may only be .05 cents but it's still MY 5 cents! I want my 5 cents to be worth it and it doesn't seem to be that way. 😕
@@CrispyBaconPress I'm a veteran after a appointment I had time before the bus came so I started taking videos and pictures of Government Vehicles I was approached by three VA police officers. Sergeant asked what I was doing I told him taking videos and pictures of the vehicles the he asked for Id of course I refused. Not once did he have any RAS . Long story short..er they put me in handcuffs searched and detained me for over 40 minutes, they let me go without ever knowing my name
Can't get a copy of incident report or FOIA request .
It's like a cover up.
That officer was working the “desk job” for a reason. He was not there on his own volition.
Probably had to get him off the street where his attitude was cast at the public.

Surely that policeman is under the influence of drugs. The eyes and the fact that he was relaxed, laughing all the time are the elements that lead to this hypothesis.

Riding that desk is already the naughty step. This time they made him take nappie time 30 minutes early.
Citizens are the deciders of what constitutes "appropriate action".
He was ordered to buy the donuts for a week.
They refuse to ever say what actions were taken when they find someone has behaved wrongly. That’s because they fear it will be viewed as totally inappropriate. In the UK they are merely asked to read a sheet telling them the appropriate policy.
One officer needs to be commended and the other needs to be FIRED !

Pleasantly surprised to see they didn't find your complaint "unfounded", however the phrase "Appropriate action has been taken to proclude this happening again in the future" is pretty darn vague.

Officer Scott is a credit to the uniform whereas the other numpty is a disgrace to the uniform. The only "appropriate action" in his case would be to sack him. I can only imagine how he behaves towards members of the public when not being recorded!

The first officer was very professional, the second officer…PUNK !!!!
Trooper Eric Scott was an excellent example of police professionalism, unfortunately officer Banuelos, sat to his left was the perfect example of everything that is wrong with police officers who are rude, condescending, disrespectful, arrogant, ignorant and unable to engage in dialogue because they want to talk all the time and behave like a child.
This looked even worse because he was working alongside the professional officer Scott who behaved impeccably, and officer Banuelos is a liability with his disgusting attitude.
Your interaction with Trooper Bookout on your second visit was of the same professional standard as that of Trooper Scott on the original visit, and both Troopers were a credit to the department, which was sadly not the case with officer Banuelos who was a total disgrace.
Officer Scott is why the other piece of shit acts the way he does. They're all afraid to correct one another 😉

Officer Scott demonstrated how a professional officer ought to behave towards the public. The other officer behind the desk was simply a jerk......rude, unprofessional and disrespectful.

We can NEVER assume that any cop is good. It is our duty to always suspect all cops to be bad. Once we deem this cop, or those cops to be "good" and therefore trustworthy and without the need to be scrutinized, THAT is where the trouble begins.

Excellent video and you're right. Following through like this is the best way to present these type of interactions. Had one myself like this with an incident involving both CHP and LACO Sheriff Dept. - they tag teamed to restrict my FOIA request. Nice work....well done.

Glad that you filed a complaint. Wish you had also filed a commendation (a letter of praise) for officer Scott. Other than blowing bubbles with his chewing gum (03:09), he was professional and helpful. You should’ve given him official props with the department.
And, for future reference, if you’re doing a records request, show up with the exact date and location of the incident involved. That information will help the cops help you. As the Boy Scouts say, “Be prepared.”

14:22 - "Appropriate action has been taken to preclude a similar occurrence in the future." is doing all the heavy lifting. That could mean anything from actual disciplinary action to posting a picture of you in the station to make sure nobody acts up when you're around.
