Thankyou Tyler and Josh, 42 yard groups not bad really at least I did not think so. Tell Josh to make sure and check those bedding bolts. My 788 Remington 22-250 would group 1/2 inch at 100 yards. Sometime those bolts are not tight. Also wrap a dollar bill around the barrel and see if it is bedded or free floated.

He just shot a worse than usual, that rifle is so accurate I had 3 shots in 1 hole at 42 yards.

Great deer cartridge on white tail in Texas . In Washington State they are illega 24 caliber and up , these mulies are pretty heavy. I don't hunt deer anymore but enjoyed doing it.

I bet you could clean that up. I'm am definitely intrigued. May need to check regs for deer. Great video bud!

If you want a speed demon, look up the 17-5.56 KAK. 22" barrel gets up tp 5200FPS maybe more. Downside is handload only, load data is scarce, monolithics only for top velocities, and we don't know the barrel life yet, but I'm sure it's short as hell.

@@joearledge1 already seen it, super cool round. Josh and a friend of his were loading some 22-250 up past 4800 fps a few years back and the barrel did go fast.

@theshotgunscientists lol that's smoking! My thought for the application of the 17-5.56(aside from varmints) is a CQB rig. Put a cheap 20" barrel in a bullpup AR, trigger and precision are not super important for this because the goal is to nullify plates at 100yrds or less. Not sure if it would work, but that would be sweet if it did.

There are many good videos on them already available, we wouldn’t be adding any useful info

Those .510 slugs are developped for airrifles and you shoot them in shotguns... Even the big @ss 12ga mr. Hollowpoint slugs are originally for airguns....
1000gr .73 airgun "pellets" are being made. Airguns came a far, far way since little Ralphy.
Good thing 32ga and .510 are so close together.
There are actually .40 airgun slugs and lyman style pellets. Maybe it be neet in a .410

@@pinocolada4254 Yeah we’ve done several videos on the 12 gauge mr hollow slugs of varying weights. They’re awesome. The 1082 grain slug is very accurate.

@theshotgunscientists looked it up...its a special 1:30 twist...generally a saboted bullet will outshoot a conical in a twist that rate.
