  • In this video, I have shared easy tips that you can follow to have a healthy parlour palm. Parlour palm or any palm is one of those plants that can be kept inside your house, office, etc as it will enhance the overall appearance of that place. While it is a highly recommended plant, there are some issues associated with it like brown and crispy leaves. In this video, we help you to overcome those challenges and have a fresh-looking green palm forever.

    I got my first palm 3 years ago as a rescue purchase at a local big box store for $1. It was less than 15 cm tall and thankfully I was able to get it to fully recover. My baby is now over 91 cm tall and just produced it's first flower cluster. I use an all organic custom soil mix of coco peat, worm castings, pumice pebbles, orchid bark, and horticultural grade activated charcoal. Once a month in the summer I give a recharge of compost tea and it gets a full shower watering once a week in a bucket of water so it can soak. Parlor Palms really add the tropical vibe to any room they're in. Such a great plant to care for.

    My parlour palm has lasted around 15 years in a pot with no holes & looks great but only grown a couple of inches 😂

    I have 2 parlour palms. Watering them at the same time, placed them at the same place (balcony). But one is getting yellow -brown spots in its leaves while other one is fine & O.K. What to do? Please reply.

      Sounds like a pest attack on one of them

    My Chamaedorea Elegance Palm tree I planted in potted 2 weeks ago I noticed leaves are fading. It is like the leaves are a fade green with with faded white mixed in. It is not a fungus as it looks like a natural color in leaves. I have it under grow light but not real bright. I keep check if needs watering so don't know what is causing it or what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated

    Hey, I got a little confused about the fertilizing information. Could you reiterate the point about using kitchen waste compost, with respect to the frequency of it?

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

      Liquid fertiliser can be given every 2 weeks or 3 weeks

    Do know why the parlour palm tips dry up and split? Other leaves go brown and die. I've trimmed them off, but it keeps happening.

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can be several reasons like lack of humidity or too much fertiliser or too much light 😊
