Dr Hook they were great Dr Hook and his band with the greatest I think of one video they look like they're really stoned yeah that one commet they really look like they're really stoned they actually look like they were having a great time on stage I really hope they're there in the Rock and roll Hall of. Fame
I saw them at a club in early 1976, The place held 300 people, they were nuts, they played Rolling Stone and Only Sixteen and a lot of blues. Good time!
Would of LOVED to see these guys LIVE back in those days 0f 1975. They sure had a lot of fun! Excellent band, and Dennis is one really good singer! Love his voice! And Ray had a great voice as well and loved his antics! Looks like they did this show a day or two before "Thanksgiving" Wow, They traveled to England, away from their family's to do this show. Great guys! 🌹💐🌸🌷❤🤗✝
I saw Ray Sawyers version of the band in 2000, in a club in Thunder Bay, Canada of all places. A few weeks earlier I'd also seen Nazareth in another club in the city. That was an awesome summer.
Thank you so much, I've been looking for something like this, after reconnecting with this group after 45 years my soul is back & & this video is raw, the last song Dennis gave it his all Thank you again..💯
I'm in a great frame of mind even though I have awful headache. I've always been a huge fan I had everything I could buy on vinyl lost all in a sad divorce. Glad t say I'm hooked on Dr Hook All over again I gotta start my day with a big old dose of Hook best medicine ever man they've got it all great music and so funny I actually find I'm laughing out loud all by myself not mentally impaired just havin the best time I defy anyone t feel bad after watching these guys. I give thanks!!!!!
Some great stuff in there. Clearly off their heads but they do look like they are having a load of fun on stage with their status, as you would by then. Good on them too. Definitely never saw this side of them growing up though haha, even saw them play live once which was great too. I enjoyed watching this show.
I’m glad I got to see these guys live several times back in the ‘70s, because there is no way the cancel culture today would ever allow them to sing most of those songs today. Today’s music is shit.
This was amazing!! 👏 They were always such a hoot to watch on stage. Dennis was definitely channeling some unseen force during Carry Me Carrie - all I can say is WOW! We had such awesome music back then, a great time to be a teenager!
O. My GREATNESS.🥰 Did i have fun singing this song . I literally was 7+ Yr's young when my Ma use to play Dr. Hook. This song i re sang when i were in my 20's. Had a ball doing a sexy dance too it🤭(Get my rocks off the mountain and roll em down the hill💃🤭) GREAT MEMORIES.😅☺️
🇬🇧 Cannot begin to tell you just how much I was in love with Dennis back in the 70's. Still am TBF. His singing voice is 👌 untouchable. And they say what you want, no-one had as much fun on stage as this band. 😂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🎼🎶
Saw them at the Rapides Parish Coluseum in 1972 when I was pregnant with my son. A great contact high was had by all, including the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Dept in attendance, and everyone turned iut fine for the experience. I miss the 70s!
I Seen them over 50 times @ Lu Lu's Road House Kitchener Waterloo Ontario Canada 1980 to 1984, Great Performance EVERYTIME!! Canada's Largest Roadhouse!!
I enjoy watching these guy remind me of days ago the comaroderie of freands past i cant find its sad days t9day as missing old freands of past good ol days all that s left is memories
AGREED I'm 76 yrs old & just saw this, a huge silly grin on my face. Today I have a brother living in UK. We both loved Dr Hook's music way back then. Watching the silly fun antics, couldn't but reall the haughtiness I experienced in visits there & possible reaction to this great performance? Did Dr Hook & The Medicne show care? LMAO thinking about I just watched their response to IT
These guys never held back on there beliefs, most took the mic & gave it a go & they achieved that, over all what a wonderful experience watching & learning from this Group in their day, just a Blessing ❤❤ i play their music religious every weekend & got to know this Band properly in 2020 always watch them on U Tube just the best ❤
Freakin' at the Concert Hall. This is the best example that captures the array of talent, with them switching off instruments like that, and all the craziness, before getting more calm and radio-friendly. Great upload!
My favorite band of the 70's and still my favorite band . Their humour in their songs is timeless like FREAKEN AT THE FREACKERS BALL and many many more . Never got to see them live and always wanted to . They played in my apartment on my record player till i wore out their album SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES. RIP ❤❤❤❤
Never thought much of them in my horny 70's, but now with the Internet & seeing their humorous adventures, they were Hilarious! .... Now I'm ready for them. because modern tunes Suck! "A Band ahead of their time"?
They were and probably were 90% of the time they played live. A sight to behold. Rest in peace sweet Ray, Billy, and John... as well as the others, whose names escape me now cause I'm stoned. @@jessiem276
According to Rik Elswit (the dude stage left on the Strat....he writes on Quora often), they had a Peavey endorsement. Although I seem to recall he said they would sneak Fender amps up there. They had an Ovation endorsement too, and from what I recall, they were pretty stoked about that because the Ovations were great road guitars compared to whatever they were using before that.
No group before or since had a better time on stage than Dr Hook,so much talent those were the days. ✌️
Amen
Used to hang out and sing with Ray Sawyer here in Daytona Beach at 30 Harry's

That’s Dr Hook , the leader of the group 🙂
And that going to be a lot of instrument
Are you sure they wasn't on acid?
😍
Could have been the warm up band for Zappa & The Mothers🙃
Едно от чикиджийските им изпълнения. Но ,това е живота!
Raw Sawyer? They only called him that when he had his clothes off .. 😄
Deez guys R 2 Xtreme for 2024, how did they survive 1974??🙀
I thought I was familiar with dr.hook, i was wrong

I don’t see how you could make music like that without drugs. I also doubt they were as high as they were acting and make music that good.
You'd think, wouldn't you? Watch them on Shel Silverstein's houseboat though, Dennis is absolutely mashed and still 100%
They look high as a kite 🙄😳
