College decisions 2021 are coming out soon so I thought I'd share my 2020 decision reactions. I applied to 13 schools and ~got into my dream school~. College decisions don't define you and everything has a purpose!

I agree, but waiting maybe a half a month later would've been better. Most decisions are all out by then.

Sophia: a whole year late
This is really interesting to watch, as it's something I've only ever seen portrayed in film & TV. I barely graduated from high school and went straight into college in the same district. In fact, the elementary school and high school I attended are both subsidiaries of the college. I didn't even think about applying anywhere else, and scholarship was a laughable prospect for me. Even so, my college years were absolutely amazing, despite me forever sucking at school. It's great to see you enjoying this whole process and thriving in your preferred institution. :-)

I've been watching your vlogs since I started to apply for a biomedical engineering summer undergrad research internship at WashU. Tonight I was just accepted to the program for this summer! I can relate to your reaction to admission to WashU so much. Even though I will only be able to stay at WashU for the summertime, I am still so pumped. Maybe I will run into you and accidentally become a part of the vlog lol

Mit was the only "top"college I applied to( yk, because I didn't know what I was doing and I should have applied to more) and it seems everyone I see got rejected, including me.
Yeah that’s MIT for you. honestly an MIT acceptance is the most impressive college decision I’d say, even more than Harvard, Princeton, etc.

I’m literally a freshman in high school any tips to start early so far I’m taking rigorous courses but I’m going to start being involved in extracurriculars
take aps in your sophomore and junior years. Also, join sports or bands. Do some activities that can prove you have good leadership. Do volunteering activity is good, but must be significant.

She's probably from Texas since she did mention that her school has auto-enrollment to UT Dallas. So her other in-state schools are Rice and UT Austin.

i’m gonna rant and see if anyone replies😫😫😫 so i’m a sophomore in high school. i hv a weighted gpa of 4.2 this yr. but my unweighted is a 3.8/7. (my school is so elitist the classes are crazy hard. im planning to major in poli sci, government, legal studies, or sociology. i’m apart of student council, club for minority activism, best buddies, uthon(club to raise money for kids w cancer), i started a non profit where i teach kid abt racial issues and raise money for them, i’m starting this youtube channel where i analyze racism in society and its effects, i’m in a program that helps girls become leaders running their business( my “business” would be my non profit), if founding a club w my friend for native american awareness in my community, i am entering my essays on race into contests and publishing them, i’m also planning to intern for john kane(dude running for governor/senator whatever). that was a lot i know but is this enough to get into an ivy or anything close to one? my dream schools are cornell, nyu, berkeley, stanford, umich, etc. i’m so dedicated to what i do i just hope it’s enough‼️‼️ any advice. (ik no one cares i just don’t know who to ask😩🔫)
Got into WashU, my dream school, and they gave me... not a lot of money. I asked them if they could help, and they told me I could just reject the invite. That hurt :v
