An awesome match of high level Zerg vs Zerg. Zerg vs Zerg is often times considered to be one the hardest match-ups in the game. A slight mistake can easily cost you the match. However, small mistakes don't get made often at the professional level and in this match this is perfectly shown.

Watching the first 2 minutes, they're almost perfect mirrors of each other.
Wow, Snute had no way of ever again producing anything at the end, wow, really well played by Serral, he could have just sit back and maxed on a higher tear army, maybe even gone up to lurkers, cause Snute had 0 mining goin on and not enough minerals to make a drone. INSANE game!

This is why noob game are more entertaining. Everything can happen. And pro matches? One player has 5 more workers so he wins.

Snute should have utilized the slow mobility and smaller army of Serral when he was strong by constantly threating with nidus, while attacking in the top of t he map. That would buy him time to rebuild top base and get back into the game economically.

Super confused as I thought this was the Snute vs Elazer ZvZ from Montreal semi! On mech depot Elazer is top-right and goes nydus. An amazing crazy game!
I guess you need to win serral games to become a professional Starcraft 2 player.

Why did Snute never attempt to get another 5th after his initial one got taken out at 14:30? I mean he was maxed out and had quite a lot of minerals left but he didn't try to expand further until the 22:00 minute mark. At this point he had basically already lost
I think Snute thought he had the bigger army and he'll try and win a big engagement but Serral was brilliant with his positioning and using corrosive biles to slowly eat away at Snute's forces. Snute realizes he can't win a straight up fight so he tried to expand once when the Serral muta notice it and Serral was committed to shutting his expand down. Snute gave up on expanding and thought he'll try to max out with a bigger army again since his drones are dead. but he couldn't kill Serral and Serral eventually remax out his army after the exchange and Snute had to GG.

Hey folks,tell me,just how am I supposed to be good in this game?even following build order get me screwed up,any tips?
Play with yourself (against easy AI or alone in the lobby), until you get your macro straight, which means learning build orders, worker production, not getting supply blocked and building a lot of infrastructure.
And I'd recommend watch Winter's basic guides for a race of your preference.
Cerulean Sc2 takes years to master. The only way to improve your play is practicing and do not mind at losing! You will surprise to know how much time and effort pro players and Lowko put for Sc2 to be that good. There is no shortcut. Best advice, keep practicing!

The only problem with show matches like these is that they don't encapsulate what really happens when you, Joe average, play Starcraft 2. Fun to watch pros play but definitely false advertising. The cheese is real people.
I don't know, the more I watch lowko's casts, the more I feel like his casting is erroneous.

Not one of my favorite matches that I've watched :/ 10+ minutes of Roach/Ravager balls just dancing around each other isn't quite as exciting as some of the other matchups+strategies tbh. Still, thinking about it from the players perspectives, it is really intense. Just not as fun to watch. Especially since Snute was out way way earlier than he knew he was.

what a terribly boring game. ZVZ is the worst . . . and the game ended in such a slooooow boring way. Snute forgot he can build another hatch between 14-18? "it is almost like playing chess here" - Lowko min 25. Yeah this is why I don't watch chess.

My god that was the most predictably boring match to watch in a long time. I mean it just felt like eternity. bile-dance-bile-dance-bile-dance-FUNGAL-BILEBILEBILEBILEBILE-dance. If you read this, Lowko, please host viewer matches instead, those are always a lot of fun!

Szilárd Személy i think bc this was a zvz of 2 of the best zegplayers out there, you can learn a lot from them or just enjoy it for the sick mindgames behind the screen.
in my opinion the best games are the long games where nobody comes out on top, as a ladderplayer i know how rare they are
Terran here. I 100% with joe. I never go zerg because of the sheer ammount of micro necessary to manage lings. It's quite refreshing to see zergs playing strategically and patiently every once in a while.

Not true, for example in this game one guy went for mutas while the other guy didn't, but anyways same goes for all the other mirror matchups, scrub, both players mirror eachother
People actually appreciate the skill that goes into games like this and we're lucky enough to have lowko cast these with his experience and knowledge, lowko uploads plenty of both

Personal opinion. I find protoss vs protoss more boring.
ARKIO 5896 fair enough. There is difference in the late game for zerg though.
