It would have been nice if Korg had included an emulation of the EXB-MOSS board. As it is, it's a nice product, but at about USD $250, it's close to the price of a used Triton rack. The expansions add to its value, but it still seems expensive to me.
@@SPAZZOID100 i listened to this for about 20 seconds and can already tell the triton has a much brighter sound, can’t you hear that dulled down version of the plug in?
@@NSUS1 Agreed, you can definitely spot / hear it immediately, although EQ would help with this. Everyone has different hearing so perhaps those other chaps just don't hear it.
@@NSUS1 That could simply be because he's using two different midi controllers which definitely have a different sensitivity, therefore the velocity being sent is probably different. A better comparison would be to send midi data to both and recording them
Hi Peter ! I have the 76 versión, very good Workstation. Now I want to control the individual volume of the different sounds of a COMBI patch, via MIDI, but it's not easy, with a midi controller, I try and try again, but I think maybe it's not possible..
Sooo happy that the Triton VST is finally a real thing. While it's true that the plugin is a bit more cleaner and not quite as punchy/warm/clear as the hardware, I feel it's really just a hair difference. When you look at the sheer number of patches from across all the expansion cards that have all been pooled together, it adds up to an incredible value compared to the real-world rarity and cost to get it all in hardware.
That's simply never going to happen. Android would more than likely give you more freedom to use VST's and such since it has an actual file system that's much easier to manage than an iPad. A Microsoft Surface might be a better alternative when it comes to tablets.
But it would be nice to have support on other platforms, I think the only reason a ton of music producers use their products is because the software is exclusive to apple devices not because it's better.
Plug-in sounds great via modern sound card (24bit) vs old hardware 👍.. The flexibility to load as many instances as CPU will allow 🔥🔥👏....waiting for IOS version ❗️❗️💵
Let me guess, the hardware snobs are going to say the hardware sounds "warmer" and the software sounds "flat". I'll bet hard money that the vast majority of them fail a blind test.
No but as a hardware owner of both the Rack and the Keyboard, I can say that the software version will never be as immediate as the hardware, nor is it the same workstation experience from a hands on approach. The software version sounds lovely, but it isn’t the original workstation experience, I still need to turn on a computer, my audio interface, launch my DAW to play some sounds. The hardware is a different experience. But I’m glad Korg made this plugin. Wait till it goes down to $49.99.
@@theredfaceofficial Why do you turn the computer off ? :-) True. Probably better experience if a touch panel is used, but playing and fiddling with nobs es much better.
Dario P. I turn off the computer so it doesn’t burn out. These thinner Macs don’t have much cooling space, so I turn them off. But yeah playing with knobs and sliders is only part of the fun with hardware. I think new users of the TRITON software (those that have never used the hardware) will be just fine and won’t have a preference. Especially if one is completely working in the box. They won’t know any different.
@Xeraser Yes I have midi controllers, but only use them when I use certain software synths. But it’s still not the same as owning a real physical hardware piece with all the knobs and sliders dedicated to that one instrument, not to mention that 9 times out of 10 the hardware still sounds better, more fuller, and is hands down more immediate!
In all honesty the vst sounds so close the differences are negligible especially to the average listener who doesn’t care if it’s hardware or software anyways. If anything just get an old school sampler and run your sounds through there if need be.
Apparently some guys cant accept that a vst sounds as good as the hardware. I had the rack and VST in the same time, so glad I sold the Rack ahah. I dont even talk about the extra cards, the more stable sync to clock, and the easier edition on the VST.
@@kicksNCY They're not wrong because the hardware DOES sound better right out of the gate..but its nothing you cant do with some distortion and EQ. Given how rare and expensive it is to get every single one of these cards to get these sounds, theres no way you could justify getting the hardware now. It's much more of a convenience to use the plugin in every way.
@@kicksNCY These kids will never accept that a VST sounds as good as hardware, even though they'd undoubtedly fail a blind test. Just let them waste their money on a slightly-different sounding version of the same instrument.
The VST doesn't have a proper sequencer, much like the M1 and Wavestation VSTs before. The VST also can't load any files from the original Triton as far as I know.
Hardware absolutely does not win here. They both sound the same, but the VST is much more convenient and easier to use. (Plus, it comes with all the official expansions, which would cost hundreds of dollars if you're using hardware.)
I didn't know they actually made this plugin. Now I don't have to worry about losing all my patches I made over the course of 13 years. Thanks!
i love the plugin as much as the hardware.

Amazing. I think I'll buy the Korg Triton plug-in when the prices lowers. I really like that synth pad at the beginning.

They have the Korg Prophecy plugin, which is polyphonic (Z1) which essentially is the MOSS board. Have fun!

The real Triton sounds warmer, but they still both sound very similar, which is awesome. I've always wanted a Triton!

The 'vs' ends at 05:28, the last time Ujiie-san touches the Korg keyboard. After that, he gets lost in playing with the VST.
It could be also that he didn't have all the expansions to test the hardware.

Quantas saídas tem este rack?Saídas físicas de áudio?
el módulo real tiene 6 salidas de audio. El par estéreo normal más 4 salidas independientes, igual que los Tritones reales con pantalla táctil
