    The Korg collection is, in my opinion, among the best software synth bundles available, very good old analog classics, M1 and Wavestation need no explanation, and with the Prophecy and the two Tritons, it now has a massive collection of exceptional synths, every part is great.
    I would chose this collection anytime over Arturia or the Roland cloud, but then, I have been a Korg fan all my life :-)

    There’s something very enjoyable about these old classics. Things are so complicated today. The sounds often are very complex, and whilst they sound pretty good on their own, in a mix they are often difficult to blend in. These legacy classics likte Triton and the Roland VSTs are phenomenal.

    Very grand demo, and a super nice watch (not the cheap-looking applewatch) 😉

      Yes ! The 90s/early 00s korg sounds invoke nostalgia of video games, drum n bass, toonami, and Nickelodeon TV shows 😆

    TRINITY〜TRITON

    It would be even cooler to add the possibility to import your short samples, which you could process within.

    For those that had the actual board. How do you feel about this VSTi? Did they get it right ?

      I spent over $1,000 on one shortly before they released the plugin lol, and honestly I love the VST recreation. Especially considering the physical 88-key version is over half my body weight

    This collection is so extensive that it would justify a dedicated midi-keyboard, provided there would be a detailed midimapping for this keyboard. Do such mappings exist for NI Kontrol or for the Arturia Keylab used in the video? Any orher suggestions?

      I keep finding myself really appreciating Korg sounds even more as I become a better musician. They really do scale with your expertise. I'm so impressed that the Mario Kart Wii soundtrack was made almost entirely on a Triton, it sets the bar very high for what skilled people are able to do with such gear.

    I love all of the synths in the Korg collection, but the inclusion of the Triton Extreme seems redundant as i understand the TE is simply a reworked Triton with expansion sounds included and the Korg collection already includes the Triton with all of its expansions.

      @dare2win215
      To which version of the collection are you referring?
      If I read Korg's launch release correctly, this was the first time the full Triton was included. Of maybe I missed something . . . I find Korg's presentation to be confusing.

  • @beat2009

    Does Extreme contain all sound from original TRITON?

    • @TheVideogamemaster9
      @TheVideogamemaster9 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe so. The physical keyboard definitely contains all the patch banks, and I noticed there's a lot of overlap between the plugins. But the normal Triton VST comes with more EXB-expansion stuff that isn't in the Extreme.

      The Physical Korg Triton Extreme has the entire PCM ROM from the Studio model plus the entire sample sets from Korg's best-selling Trance Attack, Orchestral Collection, and Vintage Archives expansion boards, as well as the most popular sounds from the Dance Extreme, Studio Essentials, and Pianos/Classic Keyboards collections. PCM data not available on any other Triton models was also included such as improved pianos and acoustic guitars. The 34MB ROM of the "Classic" was upgraded to 160MB.

    is it as authentic as a physical triton extreme?

    • @TheVideogamemaster9
      @TheVideogamemaster9 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      As an owner of the 88 key model, I think the plugin sounds perfect. I've done deep comparisons, but Korg is really good about accurately modeling their hardware, because they're using the exact same ROM data and everything.
