FM Aurangzeb Says Pakistani Economy Has Seen Stability | Dawn News English

The National Assembly session resumed in Islamabad, with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq presiding.
The House began the process of passing the Finance Bill, 2024 with amendments to implement the federal government's financial proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.
In response to opposition queries, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb asserted that the economy has stabilized and the government aims to further enhance this stability to promote economic growth.
He highlighted positive economic indicators, including a reduced current account deficit, stable currency, increased foreign exchange reserves, and decreased inflation.
The minister outlined budget goals, including increasing the tax-to-GDP ratio to 13% in three years and implementing privatization plans over the next two to three years.
