Oh i just love it when you pronounce Spanish or Mexican names or places.
I think by your beautiful face & dark locks you must be of Spanish heritage, no one could pronounce those names & places so authentically if not.
Im English with a Scottish & Swedish/Norwegian ancestry & live on the English/Scottish Borders so ive a very distinctive accent & found my accent very advantageous when i decided to take Spanish at night school.
Since then, ive taken Higher National Level Spanish, oral & written & because reaching Spain from England is very easy & not expensive, ive had years of practice & although im fair skinned but dark haired, most Spaniards think im a native!
Cant get better praise than that
Although i did have a great great Grandmama from Biarritz in the Basque Country.
I still love listening to your lovely voice, i know you smile when you narrate because you can hear your joy.
Keep up with your great great channel!
It makes my day to sit & relax & listen to your impecablely researched topics & unusual stories
    Thank you, Katrina 💕

Thanks for continuing to perk up my mornings!
Also I thought scara brae was abandoned because it became economically less important with the growing presence of rome because they shifted the major trade and business centers? Also it was a sight of the pre roman gods, which of course the at that time catholic roman emperor couldn't have

#1, at 13:00, Scara Brae is on the south-west shore of the Bay of Skail, on the west coast of mainland Orkney in the Orkney Isles, off Scotland's north-east coast. Why is the marker on your map placed on the border between Cambria (Wales) and England's West Midlands, even when no coast exists there?

12:59 It seems that the whole of Britain is now named Scotland!!...Somehow a lot of folks might object to that...where you have placed your marker is in England!!...However...Skara Brae is situated on the west coast of Orkney just off the northern coast of Scotland.

aaayyy, Katrina! 'nother great post! i love ancient history, the older the better. the ruins are so thought provoking; what were these people like? where did they go? why did they leave? the answers to these and other questions could be significant in our modern life. a heads-up, so to speak. anyhoo, good stuff, Kat. love this channel! btw anyone interested in ancient history, check out a youtube channel called History With Kayleigh. great site for ancient history buffs.
