    Thank Kris & team for the presentation 👍👍SML overview start at 43:43 in case someone is not interested in knowing disadvantages of other available options, of course from Kris's point of view.

    About Skynet: I would argue that it wasn't a software glitch. It's an AI and while the way we create AIs today was maybe not known to the authors back when they originally wrote the first Terminator, I would argue that it fits the possibilities of what it could do surprisingly well.
    We give AIs just lots of data to learn from, but we don't actually know how exactly they work internally. Sure, we know the principles, but we can't predict what happens for a given new input, we just observe it. And that's pretty much what happened with Skynet. Skynet received a certain input and the outcome was the war.
