More revelations on Thabo Bester's prison escape

The Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court has heard that Senohe Matsoara was a key figure in Thabo Bester's prison escape, who allegedly brought Katlego Bereng's body into Mangaung Correctional Centre. Legal analyst Mpumelelo Zikalal weighs in.

It gets ludicrous. A serial rapist, criminal, escapee, extradited from Tanzania- and we are talking about bail? People’s rights. We shouldn’t even be discussing bail for anyone associated with his escape.

It's her right to apply for bail, because the law does not act on feelings. Many hold the opinion that she doesn't deserve it, myself included. However, our feelings don't matter in the eyes of the law. FACTS do! I strongly believe she will get bail but she may be required to pay more. We'll see how it plays out.
