    I had this problem yesterday. Car gave me a heart attack and I thought something was very wrong. Turns out the sensor was bad, obviously! It was beeping all day until I replaced it easily myself thanks to your video. Now no more problem :) I donated you two coffees on that site, enjoy

      Great to hear you didn't actually have a heart attack and were able to sort the problem out. They do make rather loud sounds from the dash cluster. I agree with the sudden noise making you jump, It happens to me every time when I'm running out of fuel looking for a petrol station. Thanks, really appreciate the coffees, will enjoy, Cheers 👍 :-)

    I have the Skoda Roomster with this engine (well it's basically a Fabia with a different shell) so your series of videos are super useful, thank you. The thing that frustrates me (all cars not just the Roomy) are all the different electrical connections, half the time you can't see them to work out how to separate them, shame there isn't one format, then there would be no guesswork

      So true, this is in the design. they use the opposite of basic design principles just to make it hard. And the effect is? ----------- frustration. The reason for doing this is? -----------------the individual gives up and takes it into a shop. Why? ----------------to sustain/create employment and money. And, this principle isn't just related to the clips! :-)

    Witam, czyli według Twojego filmu po włączeniu zapłonu we wtyczce powinien być prąd+12v. U mnie nie ma jest pewnie gdzieś przerwany przewód. Czy mógłbyś powiedzieć dokąd idzie ten kabelek. Do licznika? do sterownika silnika? Dziękuję

      Have you ever tried when suddenly ALL tha lights start flickering inside and outside 🙈 🤔
      I heard that maby the power stirring sensor can cause the problem ?

    You are truly a very knowledgeable and instructive person. I watch you with admiration. In my vehicle, when the temperature gauge reaches 90 degrees, this sensor malfunction light comes on. I tried every way and I can't figure it out. I'm dealing with a false warning.😢

      Thanks, sorry to hear your having problems. When the temperature goes up the oil gets thinner and looses pressure causing the oil light to come on. Could be low coolant, thermostat sticking, water pump failing or a clogged radiator amongst other things. There must be a reason why your car is over-heating - solve that and the light will be fixed. have you tested or renewed the sensor :-)

      @@HatBoyHarvey I bought the oil press sensor 2 times from service😅😅 I suspect the heater radiator 😁 I will replace related radiator and we will see🤪I will you informed.

    Hi thanks for sharing. My vw 1.9tdi also just did the same thing. I'm not sure if it's the swtich or oil pump

      change the sensor and then you will know if it is the pump or not. If you have run the car without oil it may well be damaged :-)

      @@HatBoyHarvey thank you for your response. It turns out that the wire got brittle and broke. I also found an oil leak at the switch but in my case it seems like the threads are stripped in the housing. I will be removing the entire housing. Thanks for the channel. Subscribed

    Nice ! What about the "wiper cover" dissasembly ? I think that a lot of people do not clean or inspect it and than have problems wíth clogging and water inside car.

    Hi. Thanks for video. So have you already tested with increased oil temperature after completing a couple of miles? Was this issue linked with oil leakage from sensor housing?

      You're welcome. Good point that I didn't mention about in further road testing, but is part of that. I simulated the fault and wasn't related to the loose sensor which seems to be the reason for my leak.

    I have a similar issue, my car is 1.4TDI mk1 Fabia, I just recently did an oil change. The car drove fine the day I changed it, however after letting it sit the car cranks, turns over, but just won't start, an the oil light start blinking. After I let the car sit, it seems I put in more oil than I should've. My question is, is it possible that oil overfill can prevent the car from starting?

    Hallo und vielen Dank im Voraus, ich habe einen Golf 5, 140 PS 2-Liter-Motor 😫 Mein Problem ist, dass dieser Motor mich zuerst verrückt macht, die Öllampe die ganze Zeit läuft und das Kühlgebläse nicht stoppt ↩️ Ich hoffe, die Nachricht ist angekommen und ich erwarte bitte Ihre Antwort

      Wurde das Auto stark gefahren? Wie ist der Zustand des Öls? Ist Wasser im Öl? Weißes Zeug am Tankdeckel? Durchgebrannte Dichtungskopfdichtung. Überprüfen Sie den Zustand des Kühlmittels und wechseln Sie Thermostat und Temperatursensor. Wenn die Wasserpumpe nicht funktioniert, ist die Temperatur immer hoch. Wenn Sie jemanden mit einem obd2-Lesegerät für Diagnose-Fehlercodes finden, wäre es einen Versuch wert. hoffe das hilft ein wenig.

    Hi I have a similar problem, but mine it leaks oil from the side of the sensor/ switch, how can I fix the problem, hope I get an answer 😊👍👍

      Well, if it works the first this I would do is take it out and examine the threads for damage (replace if damaged) if ok then you can replace the washer seal or you could apply some PTFE tape around the treads and refit. New ones come with new washer.

      Good question. Sorry I haven't done that, but I think it maybe could be done (ANYONE?). My understanding is: you would need two electric doors, wiring loom, connectors and the front drivers controller from an elegance model and then adapt it to the control unit under the dash, but that may also need to change that as well depending on your car. I don't actually know if this would work as I don't know of anyone doing it, so i would try to find someone that has actually done it. If I had more time and the bits I would maybe give this a go, but it won't be easy and there is also the problem of reliability as older model suffer with door lock, central locking and electric window electrical gremlins anyway. It would be easier just to buy an elegance model. If you are really intent on doing it all I can say is to keep looking on forums and social media for someone that has the information needed to do it :-)

      سوف تكون فابيا أفضل بكثير على الوقود في جميع الظروف لأنها أخف بكثير وأصغر من أوكتافيا.
      The Fabia will be much better on fuel under all conditions as it is much lighter and smaller than the Octavia :-)

    Bună a-mi palpaie becu dela ulei și piuie golf 4 1.9 tdi 2003 break AxR și iam schimbat senzoru de presiune ulei și filtru și ulei și tot asa face poate sa fie din ceasu de bord ca turometru nu merge e pe 0

      Dacă taho nu funcționează, atunci da, scoateți binica-ul instrumentului și aruncați o privire la îmbinările de lipit de pe pcb de la conexiunile de intrare. Retransmite-le ca o chestiune normală și reconectați-vă. Dacă nu aveți noroc, verificați uleiul scăzut, uleiul vechi, filtrul de ulei înfundat, firele de semnal ale senzorului, pompa de ulei, galeriile de ulei blocate. Sper că acest lucru vă ajută :-)

    Hello I have a question on my dash the steering and the battery do not disappear when i give contact to the car. But when I turn the engine on they disappear from the dashboard. What could be causing this ,by the way the car run fine no issues.

      It's called a self check so all your lights should illuminate then extinguish once you have started the engine.

      @@Gazshadows All the lights do except the battery and steering wheel but when I start the engine then they disappear.

      Suspect the battery. I would check the leads are clean with good contact and make sure the ground to the body is good. A good battery should be 12.6v and hold charge. Check the alternator is charging the battery by raising the Voltage to around 14v

    hi, i've a problem with my fabia. if anyone got an idea what to look out for i'd be very greatful for any help. so basically it was droven on a highway at 140kmph and suddenly lost it power and stopped. I was not able to start it again. at a repair shop they checked power supply and it was ok, they could start it and it was working on a starter, but when unplugged fabia turned off. they checked gas pump and the hoses for gas supply and it was also ok. when you try to turn it on it strugles and no start. on the board is shown oil lamp switching on and off but no sound as in this video. oil seems ok (switched 3 mounths ago and not even 1000km was made). fuse box was also ok. only thing i noticed was low coolant level. so if anybody have an idea they are welcome.
    p. s. on the ignition the oil smell can be detected from the exhauste system.

    Bro my car starys smoking from oil cap after~5 km and oil light starts beeping after ~50 km. What could be the problem?

      Is it using oil? overheating? High mileage? could be PCV valve or crank-case breather system clogged up, (depending on engine) or worn piston rings, valve seals,

      excessive smoke from the exhaust, blue/grey colour? Pour performance economy? You could do a compression test on it which may indicate worn piston rings or just one gone bad,

      Imam i ja slican problem, zamenim ulje, predjem nekih 30, do 50 km, i pocne da pali crvenu lampicu za ulje, stanem ugasim auto upalim opet i nastavim da vozim i opet na nekih 30 do 50 km pali se crvena lampa, trosi ulje po malo, na auspuh ne dimi , lepo radi, primetio sam da ulje brzo izgubi viskoznost - masnocu
