As a Utahn, I actually do like my own state's flag. It's definitely an improvement from the previous one. The mountain fits since Utah is very mountainous, and the beehive is Utah's symbol representing hard work and industry. What the Utah State Government did to decide the flag is they held a flag competition. The top results were then combined into the flag we got. Utah's flag probably would look better with a straight stripe on top, but I like the flag overall. I even went up to the State Capitol to see submissions for flags. If you want to know my favorite state flag, it's probably a tossup between Alaska or Colorado.
I haven't even watched the entire video and I'm going to say this, even though it might be controversial, but Minnesota's new flag is THE BEST right now. I'm going to finish up the video and then leave my opinion, but so far, good. I ended up really liking the edition and judging your opinions. Don't agree at all (I like simple flags, just not that simple) but great video. Keep going man!
Virginia had a woman stabbing a guy to death, that's an automatic S or at least top 10! Being serious though, who thought that Minnesota's flag redesign was a good idea?! It looks like a corporate brand slapped onto a banner.
You could make Florida's flag better by replacing the seal with a star (google florida Sunshine flag) and replacing the basic red cross with a burgundian cross.

It was from the Kingdom of Hawaii and when they adopted it the War of 1812 was going on. They wanted to placate both the Brit and Americans who were their top trading partners. So you had the British flag in the corner with American Stripes. And I say it rocks in a Maryland sort of way and is the kind of awesomeness you can't make up.
That's cool about Hawaii. But if you want to talk bad about the GA and NC flags, say you think it's racist to acknowledge Georgia's Confederate past, and call NC's flag the one that looks like somebody was trying to copy Texas and failed. As a South Carolinian, I feel my state is better than either. Not just in the flag, but every aspect. No offense, neighbors. Just a little friendly rivalry.

If plain and generic with a poor use of crests/seals is your kryptonite with flags, refrain from viewing Irelands County flags, 2 colours (with the exception of Tipperary being a tri-colour) sometimes and sometimes not having a coat of arms slapped in the middle the annoying part, most of the counties are identical with flags with the need for coat of arms to help differentiate them, why couldnt they be as good as our Provincial flags??

Some might say it's ugly but as a Marylander our flag is imo the best. At worst it's top 3. Most are the boring ass blue with some tiny logo. No one can say the Maryland flag is subtle. It's got the gold and black Calvert coat of arms and the red and white Crossland coat of arms which make it the most unique flag in the Union.
From Minnesota; I completely agree with the “new flag” being bland, cold, boring. Also to add no history, symbolism of our native and settler history. This was pushed upon us by the Dems in power they wouldn’t even let the people vote on it. I will never fly this trash. L’etoile Du Nord forever.
I got to say I'm happy Minnesota is not past 40 on the list but I think it should go in 50 or at least bottom 4 along with South Dakota, Washington, and Illinois. Also Pennsylvania's flag should be much higher as I think it's got the best seal on blue but that might be because I am from Pennsylvania.
