Agree with all of that :D Gonna stay with the game for now as well. Probably depends how the story continues. It's in a weird spot for me. I think they do a good job with the characters itself so far. Imo it's quite a large cast for 3-4 chapters, but they are well included in the world - as well as being unique enough to be recognizable. The world/mystery is intriguing enough to have caught my interest. But: the pacing and actual world building feel a bit all over the place. While the characters themself are well explained and the chapters function on their own, the general motivations of each faction/country/world are harder to place, taking a lot away from the impact of the story events.
Agreed, and while it's nice that you have many sources to get more info on the lore (chat, tea time, character archives) it also makes it kind of a puzzle to piece everything together. I do have to say that worldbuilding and lore goes very deep, especially after more events. It reminds me of Arknights in that sense, it took me a long time to piece things together and start appreciating the story and lore, except I find Ash Echoes' main story easier to follow and the writing less verbose overall. (Or maybe I just got used to the Chinese gacha storytelling format)
The story is getting better going forward, so it's not a thing I'm worry about. I also like the event of this game. Every event have its own unique format, which is very fun to experience. The next one I believe is rpg, which allow you to run around in a map doing quest. I've been playing on TW server since launch and am currently lv59 and still enjoying it a lot.
I've been juggling 4 gacha games, with one of them being Ash Echoes of course. Currently working my way through episode 2. It's a pretty neat story, and the varied events have been enjoyable too. I find the cast of characters pretty engaging too, standouts for me being Lorelle and Caroline.
I just completed what I think is the hardest challenge in the game (nexus memory, DST 5). It felt like one of the best Dragon Age/old Baldur’s Gate fights I have ever played. My engrave rating was S30 (recommended is S35), none of my 6 star units had dupes (I have only bought the battlepass, just because I wanted to support the game, and lost every character 50/50 I’ve pulled), so I was underpowered. But the “backup” system (when used right) enables some really effective juggling of agro, and constantly pausing to use skills right off cooldown and strategically position your characters feels so good in those challenging fights!
Its easier to new player to play rn, not like early realeased, to be able to get random ssr in phase 6 u need to upgrade ur 3 character all non seed skill to lvl 6 ( 1 echomancer need more than 1.2k action point )
This is undoubtedly an underrated game. My only question is why the global version came out so late. This is a 2023 gacha game, consider the cn server quality evaluation in that year is only below Reverse 1999 and Hsr, they should release the global server more early.
You said it is a 10 Gb game? I´m pretty willing to try it out, but if it is the case, I´ll have a very hard time trying to release some space just for it.
I still need to find the 2nd long term gacha i am interested to invest besides Arknights. Currently trying GFL2, but I need more time to properly judge it. I am interested in Browndust 2 and This game and i would play it once i got better laptop.
I played it for like 4 hours and I thought that it is going to be one of the best gacha for me. But everything was ruined when I start looking closely on art. The game is full of AI pictures here and there and I just can not accept it.
@@haowu3005 Have no idea what they checked. I just see it with my eyes. It may be not pure AI, but overpained one. And you can see it youreself. ex. Su Xiao art. Look at distance between socks and a knee on both legs. Mo Hongxiu art is full of tangents. Human artists just don't do that. And the tip of the shoe on S4 art is the nightmare. It is not just her, tangents are on every art in the game. And hair and clothing on many of them doesn't make sense. But these are kinda fine. They worked more on playable characters. If you can't see them good for you. NPCs are the biggest problem. Play throught the story and look at them. And backfround. All of them have some AI parts some more, some less. But the worst one is, if recall correctly threre is NPC called Young Woman on S12 lelvel or so. Look at her left arm and tell me it is drown by human. After that I didn't play, but sure there are more of that shit. I don't get it how you can trust random "CN players said it is OK" but not trust you own eyes.

I can't imagine myself opening third gacha on a daily basis. But I have to say it looks fun indeed. I wish luck to everyone who's gonna play it.

well that's not true. Although the art is not that awosome, but CN players do check, no AI
