Hey girl, amazing content. It is truly difficult being a girl biker with long hair. It is still so weird that my major hair concern was people finding out that I was a girl rider by seeing my hair and doing disrespectful stuff like making obscene gestures or try to tease me/make fun of me. My hair was as long as yours maybe even a tad longer, when I started to ride some 20+ years ago. I used "The Jasmine" method. Really does work well. I eventually did the Cancer Shave For A Cure thing. Raised $1400. After shaving, I'd lost so much hair my helmet would't fit. I had to wear a beanie till it grew back enough it fit correctly. Great video, can't believe you hacked off so much hair but it is for a good cause. Good work.👍

Know the troubles, as a long haired guy. I got this Triumph jacket that has a neat metal logo on the back of the neck, it is perforated though and serves as an excellent hair puller and entangler! I just fold mine in the back and tuck it under the jacket.
When I was a teenager in the early 70's I had long (hippie) hair (fine, blond) and it would tangle terribly. That was the end of real long hair. Then came the desire for a real job leading to short hair. Long hair is PITA.
Thanks for helping my wife solve a major problem!!! She's just started riding with me and enjoys your videos. Quick question: She's going to join me half-way through a trip in early November. When you travel by airplane, how do you transport your helmet?
Awesome thanks for sharing! My daughter loves your videos! Great to have an awesome role model for female riders. What I took away myself was, I gotta take multivitamins and possibly eat like a hippy! My hair grows sloooow...
I’m actually taking a course next month since the NY permit test is so annoying and the line is insane lol. Just found your channel and definitely subbing :)
Oh you just have to try the "Hightail" helmet hair pouch, it's super easy and you totally get movie hair with it! I got the Diva-do, and you're right it works well but it's less than attractive lol
I just started riding cuz of COVID I wish I saw this before I cut my hair.... LOL. I'll just have to grow it out and reference your video again thanks doodle!
Honestly my hair on my commute is one of my biggest riding pet peeves! The wind completely destroys it and anything that holds everything together takes too long (because my hair is very slinky). Now I just pull it into a side braid, knowing half will be out by the time I arrive, and call it a day! I can't do a bun because my helmet bumps it at the back but a regular pony doesn't do anything to corral the main. Even after I cut my hair- now about the length yours is after your chop (which looks great, by the way!!) -I still have issues trying to keep it contained and maybe hopefully not just pancake flat! I haven't succumb to a cover yet but we will see how long I hold out :)
You gotta try a neck gaiter/ racibabi and a loop bun!! It’ll change your life! If my helmet has flattened my hair too much, I part it the opposite way once I get to work and that does the trick
I was going to say “the formerly engaged Doodle “ 🤣 but your hair still looks very nice, maybe even better and what a wonderful cause to support 👍😀, really enjoy your videos. Thanks 🙏🏽
You're too awesome. Hahahaha. I cut my own hair too, but this clip tho 😂 you're adorable. Keep being you. It keeps moms like me stay unbelievably proud of our strong girls.
Thanks for the tips Hun 😘 I just hacked all my hair off 3 weeks ago and that works the best for my helmet hair 😂🤣 But my hair grows really fast so I'll save this video for later 😉
Thanks for mentioning that you took your cheek pads out to do the helmet removal slow mo…I was like bruuuuuh why do I look like a goblin emerging from a cave and she looks like an angel taking her helmet off 😂
your hair is so pretty! i've been thinking of getting a motorcycle as a daily commuter but the main thing that holds me back is my hair. i have very fine, thin, frizzy hair and it's super hard to look presentable after wearing a helmet for me. idk if any of these will work for my hair but thanks for the ideas!
U just chopped off 10 inches of your hair on the side of the road😂😂 I'm impressed. I've never had long hair though. Just thought the tips would help my short af hair🤦♀️
I want to see more about how you eat like a hippie, and which vitamin you take. Thanks for all the hair tips, girl! Keep em coming, especially if you have any lazy hair hacks. Loved the vid, Doodle!
Maybe I’ll share a “what I eat in a week” in my stories or something! But this is the hippie multivitamin I took half a dose of each day when my hair grew so fast www.motherearthlabs.com/product/comprehensive-core/ I also do keratin hair treatments every 5 months or so that could be it too 🤷🏽♀️
Hey Doodle, love the "girly" videos. Yes, I would like to see more "girly" videos. I liked the one in particular about when you first started riding, and how you had to overcome your fear. With many men, i think they don't understand that "anxiety" am thinking it's a normal thing amongst woman to suffer from anxiety more than men. At least my husband has never had anxiety riding. I am a new rider and am at the beginning stage of overcoming that fear now, so for now am not caring too much about my looks, but caring more if i will come back home alive,,hahaha, but definetly loving the girl content. So refreshing. I would like to know if riding has changed you in any way from the way you were BEFORE you took up riding.? Did you find yourself becoming more confident in general in life? DId riding help you overcome stress or anxiety? Am asking this because, as a female, i suffer from PMDD and it was taking over my life, but since i got the bike, i now look forward to riding it, that it gives me that wee tingle and helps me over some hard times.
I replied before I finished the video! I wish you would show us the back of your haircut. Maybe in one of the next vids once youve been able to fix it yourself? I am all about cutting my hair myself, so in about a year, I could totally do this with my curly hair! Thanks!
Somehow it looks fuller around your face after you cut that section off. Maybe it was weighted down with the extra length. I like it.... see in the other comments about my hair loss claim.
Guy long hair here, usually go with the Jasmin. Used braid for a while, but I'm unable to do it on my own XD Also, would like to know what brand & model is the helmet on the rearview mirror. Cheers!
Great video. Any tips for keeping curls in tack? I gave naturally curly hair too but I rarely wear it straight. By the end of my ride my curls are just flat and unattractive.
My wife does a similar routine, bundling it up or tying it back, then a neck sleeve up around it. But, lately she's just been tossing it back and flopping her helmet on, since her hair is shorter and thin so doesn't knot up or get all matted down. So she can usually just pop the shell off and shake it out and Voila!!!
I have a RaciBabi head wrap, and it works great but looks really bad on me! I have a very round head and it just makes it look rounder. I have long but really fine hair, I love the idea of using a big scrunchi! If I get a really thick one, maybe it will make the RaciBabi bun part look fuller. Great video!
When I had my motorcycle the first month I also had quite long hair so I recognize the problems ha ha. But my hair is now shorter, in a full face helmet I absolutely agree that long hair requires measures. It can distract when riding I discovered.
This is what I use now instead - th-cam.com/video/yDwA_oqggdI/w-d-xo.html

Well, that was interesting. And as usual, you are doing it for a good cause.
LOL appreciate you making it through this one
Your hair looks beautiful doodle!!
So cool of you to donate your hair!
Yeaaaa girl!! ❤️
Thanks 🙏🏽
Bahahhaha
Girl whatever you do. Your always looks Fabulous.
You're too awesome. Hahahaha. I cut my own hair too, but this clip tho 😂 you're adorable. Keep being you. It keeps moms like me stay unbelievably proud of our strong girls.
Thanks for the tips Hun 😘 I just hacked all my hair off 3 weeks ago and that works the best for my helmet hair 😂🤣
But my hair grows really fast so I'll save this video for later 😉
Woohoo!! 🤪
🤞🏽 my fingers for ya, girl!
Doodle, You're a rockstar. 🤪🏍
U just chopped off 10 inches of your hair on the side of the road😂😂 I'm impressed. I've never had long hair though. Just thought the tips would help my short af hair🤦♀️
😋
You salvaged the event and footage great! You have crazy hair.
Phew!! Hallelujah 🤪
But this is the hippie multivitamin I took half a dose of each day when my hair grew so fast www.motherearthlabs.com/product/comprehensive-core/
I also do keratin hair treatments every 5 months or so that could be it too 🤷🏽♀️
Hey Doodle, love the "girly" videos.
This is the exact video I needed! Thank you! ❤️
I replied before I finished the video! I wish you would show us the back of your haircut. Maybe in one of the next vids once youve been able to fix it yourself? I am all about cutting my hair myself, so in about a year, I could totally do this with my curly hair! Thanks!
Ah man too late! 🤪 I went to do keratin at the salon a week later and my hair dresser fixed it up and told me to “never do it again” 😂
Somehow it looks fuller around your face after you cut that section off. Maybe it was weighted down with the extra length. I like it.... see in the other comments about my hair loss claim.
hello from Argentina,I would love to see you doing more videos riding your triumph
My next several videos I’m not riding in them, but I do plan on doing more riding and chatting coming up!
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm a new rider so this was so helpful 🤗
Guy long hair here, usually go with the Jasmin. Used braid for a while, but I'm unable to do it on my own XD Also, would like to know what brand & model is the helmet on the rearview mirror. Cheers!
Whatever hairstyle you do is cute😉
Hi Doodle...I been watching your videos for awhile and finally subscribed
Sweet!! 😁😁
Great video. Any tips for keeping curls in tack? I gave naturally curly hair too but I rarely wear it straight. By the end of my ride my curls are just flat and unattractive.
I have the same problem with my curls 😅 I don’t think there’s a solution for that if you want to wear a tight helmet!
Whaaaaaaattttt!!!
Thank you for the wonderful video just now and I look forward to trying your hairstyles out and the products you showed
Woot woot!!
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle I ordered myself a racibabi , thank you so much for showing this to us
I have no hair at all and just watched the whole thing. So interesting.
Bahahhaha you da best
When I had my motorcycle the first month I also had quite long hair so I recognize the problems ha ha. But my hair is now shorter, in a full face helmet I absolutely agree that long hair requires measures. It can distract when riding I discovered.
Truth!! 🤪
Please can you do this with your natural curls - just for us riders with curly/mixed hair. thank you!! xx
I have and i do the same thing! In a bun but no way are curls going to survive a helmet- they came out pretty squished but whatevs I still worked it 🤪
