    FYI, there are many low mile (under 2000) used NSX in the 120-139 range. That fits into your stated price category.

    Good perspective on the NSX. I’m very interested in the NSX. I would leave out the unnecessary carbon fiber options. I’m impressed with the PMC facility. I’m all about driving the car and not a garage queen.

    I think the bias is talking. It has a Honda badge instead of a Ferrari badge, so people are making excuses for why it isn't worth that price. The people who are buying cars like this are definitely not worried about the price. If money wasn't an issue, I would rather buy a Bentley GT because I want that luxurious comfort. But, if I was given only 2 choices, I would never pick an Audi R8 over a NSX. That would make no sense. Unless, you want that Audi name. But, at that price range, you could also buy McClaren or a Porsche, why stop at an Audi?

    • @mattbudesa3038
      @mattbudesa3038 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No its because it's underwhelming and lacking big time in interior quality. Plain and simple it's overpriced for what it is. Plenty of better more engaging cars to buy for the same price.

  • @loh8104
    @loh8104 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Totally agree. You can have a Porche 911, or McLaren LT, even a Ferrari Spider, but you can't use those cars everyday, cause those cars are track and show cars, they're not an everyday car.
    The NSX is an everyday fast car, that can kill the cool of your typical Challenger or Corvette driver. But as of now, we still have to see how it rides next to a C8 Corvette, mid-engine.

    This car does not give you tingles because it says Honda on the badge. Audi R8 is not a hybrid super car. Honda NSX competes with Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918, 919, McLaren 650s Hybrid. The cheapest of these three is McLaren about $425,000. If that kind of money does not bother you for McLaren $200,000 should not bother your for the NSX.

    • @drivingsports
      @drivingsports  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nobody is going to cross-shop an NSX and a Porsche 918. Going from $200,000 to $425,000 isn’t something people will do “to stay hybrid.” At this level its mostly about performance and how much can be afforded. The most direct competition is the Porsche Turbo S, Audi R8 or even the RWD McLaren 570S. (I have a friend contemplating NSX or 570S so that really is a thing. He also has a classic NSX.) -RD

    • @squidproquo2241
      @squidproquo2241 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Driving Sports TV _ OK! Then think like this, if what you say is correct and all it is about affordable performance, then you agree that McLaren 605S, Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 are not even an option to buy in comparison to Porsche 911 Turbo S, Ferrari 488, Audi R8, etc..
      However, they are in the market and they are produced by the very same companies that build those oer priced un affordable performance cars. If Porsche is producing the Porsche GT3 which faster, quicker than both the Porsche 918 and Acura NSX and Porsche Turbo S, than people should be buying Porsche GT3 RS
      But wait, a Corvette, or even a Camaro ZL1 along with Nissan GT-R provides the best bang for the buck. The other cars should not even be in the market. I guess Germans know better than when people get richer they become dumber also That's why they make cars that has similar performance figures that range from 100K to 1 Million.
      I think evaluating this NSX by its performance and its cost, you are making a mistake. The original NSX did not outperform the Ferrari, or the Porsche Turbo. But it was the better overall super car that can be driven daily. And this NSX is also does not out perform the other Hybrid super cars but it offers the hybrid technology at an affordable price with a decent usable performance. And it also proved itself as a reliable hybrid ALTERNATIVE to other HYBRIDS which are plagued with reliability issues.
      P.S. You can check this review out for a better approach to NSX and its meaning in the super car market

      "No comparison other then being a hybrid."
      I agree with that since Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari, And MacLaren P1 are problem plagued junks, while Honda NSX is a true production hybrid super car.

      Cheap interior ? What are you smoking ? You might find better interiors at 150 - 200k sure, but this is definitely not cheap.
      The ifotainment system sucks indeed, although if there was an option I would buy it with no speakers and shit anyway. :D
      OVERPRICED? :D Have you ever seen how they build the engine ?
      This is the ONLY engine in the wrold, participating in motorsports 100% STOCK. :D
      This is engine is made to last. It's not like all the other fragile shitboxes you call supercars. This is a Honda engine. It will outlast you.
      If you ask me, the car is cheap for what it offers.
      If the same tech was made by someone else.... OH WAIT. IT IS. And they charge 1+ Million for it.

    At first I thought this is a decent car channel that reviews cars objectively. But, this Honda NSX review sounded strangely familiar.
    th-cam.com/video/zrLocZavR6g/w-d-xo.html
    It is a good performer but I will not pay that much BS.
    I think this channel is on a mission to help Europeans to take over the market from Japanese brands. The seemingly supportive approach to Subaru makes me think that this channel is a tool for a plot to take down Japanese brands one by one and then replace the market with unreliable, expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, absurdly depreciating European cars. Even comparing this NSX with a ten year old Audi R8 and making an Audi R8 fan speak and say that I don't care it is unreliable, burns more gas, less technologically advanced a lesser performer etc. But he still choses Audi R8 that is ten years older.
    This is subliminal mind manipulation to get into the minds of the people and prepare them slowly move away from the Japanese brands and bring them towards the European brands. This channel is not car review channel but it is a marketing channel for European brands. Subaru works as a cover for this. Very sneaky but very effective. Europeans never ever take an honest competition on. The VW diesel scandal is the best proof for that and Audi belongs to the VW group. Coincidence? I don't think so.

    There is a reason Acura needs to give these away and are now building TLX and MDX at the same plant its built. It's a video game no one asked for. Hated my drive in this pig. I'll take a V10 Audi R8 all day over this. Acceleration times be damned. I don't want a Civic interior in my $160k plus car let alone one that doesnt even have Android Auto. If all I wanted was straight line pulls I'd get a Tesla Model S.

    This thing should be half the price or double the HP. I really don't care about how the electronics improves your driving when it lacks so much character.
    It's just not sexy and it's face looks like a whale. Also I can't help wondering why it only has 570HP when it has a turbo and THREE electric motors. Cut the turbos, remove the electric motors and you'll not only reduce the price, you'll improve the sound and improve the power-to-weight ratio.
    This thing might have stood a better chance of impressing had it come out ten years ago.
