Some of my best Bass sessions have been in the "burbs! It's surprising where Bass show up with floods moving them about and stocking groups helping them re-establish in local creeks. Great to see the info from the tag too.
Rocket's Fishing Adventures Looks like future stocking of bass and Mary river cod into this system is on the cards and discussion with LAFMA are currently taking place.
That would have been part of the tagging program I was part of back then. Lloyd Willman and I were part of the Albert and Logan fish management association. We were up in the upper reaches near the Junction of the Logan and Christmas Creek. That Bass has travelled a long way in 9 years.
I know the guy who tagged that bass. A longterm ANSA member who lives not that far from this spot. It obviously came right down to the junction and back up the Logan. Very cool indeed.
Where abouts on Scrubby Creek is this?? Keen to get out somewhere local rather than having to drive out to the Dams or down into the Bay. Looking at Logan City Council Park maps and I can't see any of them with Fishing Icons on them except for Tygum Lake ;)

Liam Fitzpatrick they could be coming from demeio Park/wetlands, there are some in there plus monster 50cm+ carp and massive tilapia there, also there is a comp for carp on this Sunday there hosted by the Logan council 👌🏼

I've heard a myth about fishing in sunnybank/calamvale but I really can't work out where... Interesting though, suburban fishing... You don't here much about it.
mitch mclean Hopefully it gets better. Logan City Council have plans to clean up and stock Scrubby Creek with bass and cod fingerlings in the near future.

Yeah things might be a little different after the floods. Baits will vary day to day and from summer to winter. I’d be fishing more finesse baits while it’s cold mate.

Fished that exact spot tons as a kid too. Gould Adams Park. The old dam from the original Kingston family farm.
Remember the old tree stump that used to be there? Could catch spangled perch from under the roots all day as a kid.
