Just a week before while returning from Manali I got in a friendly short chase with new model figo. He launched his car in a teasing way on the toll gate near Murthal(Delhi Chandigarh Highway). We were four people on board with full luggage. I than pulled it down with my Altroz diesel. Let it pass and than pulled down again. But when we engaged in an open road while I was waiting for it to come near it pulled me down on its last breathe. He actually was all alone and had that extra speed while I was waiting for it to come near. He after that assumed his victory and completely disengaged. We passed our pit spot Amrik Sukhdev by 14kms just for this chase and than took a u turn. I will post it in the end of my manali vlog. At last what matters is your skills and in gear acceleration on a less crowded highway. Figo has got a gem of engine. I have pulled down quite many upper segment cars and what helps me more is the Statability of Altroz. Engine is just good but not excellent like any foreign brand. I usually stick to the max rpm while waiting for the car to come near and than I completely floor it. Its a boom for even an Endeavor. 3rd gear 100kmph and than 💥.

Trust me man, the Nexon guy is driving like a grandma. In a proper drag launch, there are wheelspins and roaring engines which I don't hear in the Nexon POV. I've driven it and trust me, it's a neck to neck competition between Ford's 1.5 tdci and Nexon's 1.5l turbo diesel.
The aspire obviously has a weight advantage. Try racing Nexon with ecosport(equipped with drivers capable of driving fast) and that'll be a fair competition...

Whereas the truth was Ford parts were less costly (Oviously after the chennai plant set up) and Ford was giving more too. there is a mechanism called the traction control in Nexon which stops it from getting launched and that cannot be disabled.... I would like to see how aspire fares with the cars in which traction control can be disabled. :)
