Prep to open the Treehouse Patio Up.

-  I started this a week ago,  the treehouse will be open this weekend and I’ll just keep posting as we go along. I know in the video I said week to 10 days, but that was pre-recorded .
Well Summers creeping up on us and I’m very happy about it. I’ve been busy doing the shade garden the front patio and the treehouse terrace so that’ll be the next three videos and then after that it’ll be all the flowering part of it.

It really is! Takes about a month to look beautiful, but when it does come in, it’s my favourite spot. I’ll post tomorrow and Wednesday as I’m a little bit behind on videos due to doing all the work 🤷🏼♀️🍃🌸
I do love your videos and your cooking. As to your deck I add a little bleach when I do mine and a brush with a pole attached , that way I dont have to get on my knees. As I am older this helps.

I haven’t stopped working on the shade garden so that put off the treehouse and me editing in time to get the videos up …so I’ll be done before all the videos are showing it is what it is right. I have extra crystals ,I thought awe if we were neighbors I said hey here you go friend !! Gardens is a lot of work but so rewarding! , yesterday I over did it thought I was having heat stroke. At the thrift store or Home Depot, please purchase several round or square plant trays that have wheels on the bottom. That way, you won't have to lift your plants when you want or need to move them. ❤

I think wherever we live in the world, we are all wakening up our gardens and terraces ready for all our colourful plants and blooms. Its such a joy to see tge buds coming after the winter isnt it?! Can be back breaking work though, especially as we get older, and are still stubborn and want to do all tge jobs tgat we took in our stride when we were younger 😩

Just a heads up with a little helping hand. I found a tip for cleaning/scrubbing floors. Go to dollar store and buy a small plastic broom and then buy a handle to fit it in, then cut the bristles down ( I cut mine to about an inch but it took awhile ) and insert into handle. I use mine for cleaning the tiles and tub in bathroom, makes it way easier on my back and they sparkle. Also. I found a fantastic DIY cleaning solution mix vinegar and dish soap in equal amounts put in spray bottle. It is great when used in bathroom.
No brown would get that up. Trust me I tried you have to get really deep and really scrub hard. That’s OK one day. I’ll just get a pressure washer.🍃🌸❤️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🥲

Love the chandelier. They are one of my most favorite things to thrift/scavenge . I've also used the crystals as ornaments on my Christmas tree. I bought some lamps that needed wide sleeves that were missing, and I ended up cutting up some tubes from a cream coloured plastic shower rod cover. Love watching your videos and getting great ideas ❤😊

Hi Brooke. Love your tree house. I have to agree with you. So much of my garden is annuals - I love so many annual plants that I'm prepared to let them go each year and re-plant next year. I know thrifty gardeners love perennials but there's so many annuals that I love, I want to replant every year!

My goodness, u're one hard wking young lady! I had an accident mega moons ago that left me w severe back issues/chronic pain & I really miss doing stuff like that. It's gonna look fantastic out there! Can't wait to see it. Just take care of yourself & get some rest.😉 Think I mentioned before, but can't remember...anyway I use solar lamps(from Dollar Tree) in my lamps/candelabra. Obviously leave the spikes off that go in the dirt. They look so pretty at night! Oh, love the prints u bought too! 💖

Hello Brooke, what a talented lady you are; a gardener, landscaper, plumber, electrician, painter, interior decorator, chef, motivator, seasoned traveller, stylist, thrift guru, blogger and "mistress" of all trades (and I mean that in the most polite way). You really do put me to shame but you also inspire me to get my act together and start on projects I have continuously pushed aside. We need you to bottle your energy and joie de vivre and start selling it online. I'll take two dozen bottles thanks. I certainly need all the help I can get and watching you work so, so hard both inside and outdoors sparks ideas I wouldn't have normally considered. I look at you as my very own "Vogue" catalogue but as you so eloquently say "on a dime". And I love that. I am all for repurposing what I already have because honestly, money is tight and you must be frugal these days because the cost of living has skyrocketed. And all you need sometimes is a lick of paint to bring out the gorgeous in that piece everyone thought was an oddity. Just like me! Have you ever considered going to yard sales?
I have found some really great things at these sales.
Of course I have but there’s not very many in my neighborhood. It’s just something that they don’t do around here and when I do go to other neighbourhoods it’s far between there’s a block one coming up that I may go to, but it’s not a big thing here in the c. ity.
Great art you got at the church. I have an Amethyst Wisteria in a pot. I am waiting to get a pergola to plant it with. You can train them to grow as a tree as long as it's the Amethyst and not the traditional one. I am also getting tired of buying annuals.😫 I have been trying to convert to perennials to save $.
Yeah, my whole shade gardens perennials except for the little bit of impatience I put around the side, which doesn’t cost much and then I did the rest with seeds upstairs I spent a little bit of money as that’s an annual garden up there and I did better than this year than I’ve done in many years so I was proud of that as well. I’m a little over budget by $120 but I also bought some mulch and some soil. My budget was pretty low this year.🍃🌸🌺
Good morning Brooke. A lot of activity going on. I was wondering, since I bought 2 wisteria plants, can I plant them in a pot vs. the ground. Some plants do take in the pot but I was wondering if you are putting them in a pot on the porch, and if you are, do you leave them outside for the winter? Wishing you well.
I don’t know what zone you’re in, but for me, I baby her I wrapped it an insulated it for the winter and it worked. I was told by the gardener it will never work in a pot and she’s coming back really well. I guess it all depends on your zone and it will depend on how you take care of it through the winter.🍃🌸🦢 hope that helps.

Yes, it’s made by Zep and it’s concentrated and Yad water to it. Home Depot sell it.

Boy I’m with you on lifting heavy stuff. I wait for my son or grandson to move heavy things. I did purchase a low Rubbermaid type wagon to load potting soil, large rocks and plants. I pull it everywhere and think it’s best purchase I’ve made in a long time. We also use it for mesquite wood when cooking on bbq pit or family fire in winter. At 75 I’m always looking for things to help make my work easier. I absolutely love your treetop. What a wonderful place to relax quietly and converse with wildlife. I do dig your black and white.💕💕💗💗
