Ko Uchi Makikomi is one of my all time favourite techniques. I use it a lot during Randori and I've won many competitions with it to. But I used to go downwards with my inner arm towards the leg, but then it wasn't allowed to attack with the hand bellow the belt. So I stopped using it for a long time during competitions. But recently my Sensei showed me your variant and now I'm going to start practice this instead. :) Many thanks for showing me a new variant on my favourite throw. 😄
I just started Judo and everyone is bigger and taller than I am, so I am investing time into these techniques. I used to think that I was going to doing crazy throws, but leg reaps and trips seem much more my alley than.
I’ve always loved this move for being the worst thing you could do under BJJ rules; ironic even that either side of the move is respectively ippon/near-ippon in each style: ie pull that off in judo you win the ippon, have it done on you under BJJ rules- immediate 4 points and shot on mata leao.
I discovered this movement watching Haraoka too, and it was an instant love ! I win à lot with different variations of ko uchi makikkomi 🥋 Thank you for this video 🇧🇪 🇯🇵
Sensei, love to see this technique in your videos. Usually, I fake with an entrance of Sode Tsurikomi Goshi ( having crossgrip from Uke's lepel) and then ... I go backwards for a fast kouchi makikomi. Indeed this is " an aha moment " atack for Uke. Great demonstrations as well. In my next training ... I will practice again based on your video. Thank you!

I really want to incorporate this throw into my game along with seoi nage and ko uchi. Unfortunately, in randori people just step out of it.
