Coraki? I know it well. My Mum’s family are from there. My Mum was known to get out of the bathtub and put on her Dad gummies and walk to the general store for a lolly ( own by her grand parents) then venture into the pub to be a social vegemite. And no she was not wearing any clothes only the gumboots. When the river flooded she’d be found diving off the roof of the shade that covered a seated area. She was a real handful at three years old lol😂. I had uncle’s on property at Coraki as we. Enjoy your time there. So Alison is from there as well? Small world. Cheers guys.
I know the area well having lived in Coffs Harbour, but now a WA resident You covered the area very well and Illuka is a real winner to stay in and relax for a week or so Also your tips on the swift hot water unit was much appreciated and I will clean mine out tomorrow, as a result, thanks!
Thank you, I yes we get around the van every week just to make sure everything is good, the hot water system was a bit of a mystery at first but very obvious now.
I had so much trouble with bathroom door in the end i removed the door altogether and replaced it with a shower curtain on a curtain rail. Works well and it removed 12kgs out of the van. Happy trails
Check out the Border Ranges, loads of beautiful spots to explore. Sheep Station Creek is a beautiful spot for a day trip, small hike to a waterfall. Protesters Falls at the Channon another great day trip, nice pub theee also. Enjoy the Northern Rivers 😊
If you are heading South and need a free camp spot you are welcome to camp on our small acreage. ( as we are not travelling at the moment) We are south of Port Macquarie , inland 15 mins off Highway from Harrington. Not far from Taree and not too far to visit Forster. If its too far off the highway there is a Free camp at Coopernook State Forest that we can recommend or spend a free night at Coopernook Pub so long as you buy a meal. Its definitely not cheap along the NSW Coast.
Thankyou so much for all your helpful, honest advice! I have added Horns Gas & Plumbing to my list of trusted services and will recommend them everywhere I go. We appreciate experienced and knowledgable services helping us on the road. :)
The gas on the vans have had a fairly consistent issue for both the hot water and the 3 way fridges, the solenoids, can get a bit sticky a few taps on the side NOT hits does in most cases free them up. The alternative way is the firstly check the voltage of the solenoid these can be 5 volts, or 12 volts do check before then apply the known correct voltage. Do this a few times if needed you should feel it operate, other than that of course l requires deeper investigation.
Thank you, that helps a lot as I think we’ll continue to accumulate dust around the solenoids as we travel. Next time I’ll run the multi meter over it and check the voltage. We are also considering a removable cover for the outside during travel on really dusty roads.
If you ever go through Roma and you havd a 12 v issue no one wants to know you.we had a 1wv problem last year and rang every auto sparkie in town earliest they could take a ""look" at the problem was end of October we were there late September. All the otberes either were busy or wouldn't let a 3rd year appropriate look at the problem
