  • Granulate, extrude and spheronize on the bench-top in a single apparatus. A new equipment for the development of pharmaceutical pellets for Formulation research, university teaching, practical formulation development. Easy to use and clean, a small "foot-print" if you are short of bench space. Since this video was made and uploaded users have found new uses for this CML system. In addition to pharmaceuticals the system is being used by laboratories working with development of catalysts and also by users in the petrochemical industries. In addition caleva have developed a set of blades for "hard to mix" material that has widened the options for all users. If you want to know more ten talk to caleva at info@caleva.com.

      Hi Bernado: haha! I would be very happy to sell you lots of this very special binder liquid to use in the Caleva laboratory equipment for making spheroids out of a range of materials. If you don;t want to buy it from me then you can just get it out of the tap!

      @CalevaProcess  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi: The water content was 12 grams. I know that the mix looks dry but MCC will absorb a lot of water. Since the video was uploaded the Caleva CML has has a lot of success with a wide range materials. This includes not only pharmaceutical materials but also a lot of experimental materials in the catalyst and petrochemical industries. If you are working with catalysts and want to have a chat about how the Caleva Multi Lab is bing used then get in touch with us at info@caleva.com. We would be happy to talk to you about our complete range of equipment (mainly for the development and manufacture of pellet formulations by extrusion and spheronization.

    What is the use of output

    • @andreanewton6114
      @andreanewton6114 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Upendrachary. The output depends on the attachments used. You might only need to mix your materials so you will have a resulting mixture. You may need to make extrudates only or you may need to make spheres or pellets, in which case you would probably need to do all 3 processes - granulation, extrusion and spheronization. Extrudates or pellets can be used in many pharmaceutical and industrial applications. Please get in touch with us to discuss your particular application. info@caleva.com. Kind Regards, Andrea

    Dear Calevaprocess, i'm a master student working with this machine and was wondering what extrusion speed you are using for your given formulation. Can You tell me your formulation used in this demonstration just for clarification.

    • @CalevaProcess
      @CalevaProcess  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Deka, the process speed would have been 100 rpm. The formulation was 1 part MCC, 1 part lactose and 1.1 part water. This is a good example of a "standard" formulation for demonstration and training purposes. If you have something you'd like to talk about, or you have a challenge we can help with, we will be very pleased to help you. You can email me direct if you like at andrea.newton@caleva.com
