You also could've used 99 Chipper because he was on the cover of the old mlb game series when SDS was known as 989 studios and I think Vlad Sr. was on the cover of a different year too
I used to say people are switching controllers and all that but then I realized that’s exactly how I play too. I won’t score for 5 or 6 innings basically getting no hit unless it’s a bloop then suddenly I’m hitting back to backs and putting up 6 spot. It’s weird
Try a full team of topps now pitchers and hitter with Rendon and musgroves captain boosts and they all become insane
They’ve gotta buff captains a bit. There is really only two viable god squad captains
Satchel Paige wind up is a lot like Cy Young
It’s not a “god squad” but the tops now theme team especially with both pitcher and batting is really good. I’m 13-2 in snaked seasons using it

SDS wanting people to use captains and then literally not having any way to get these best captain cards unless you pre ordered is asinine. I know you can get them off the market but for something they want to push, you’d think you’d be able to get 1-2 more just through the program path or something

I love this game and the content that they put into it this year. This is one of the few games that has great Content and multiple additions throughout the year.
But one thing I hate seeing Is a rank season game and the opponent refusing to throw a strike. What is the point of playing a game if you can’t throw a strike or you choose to not throw a strike. I get that the entire point of the game is to win but it makes the game boring at times because you’re either going to extra innings because your opponent refuses to throw a strike what do you have no choice but to swing out everything because if not, you’ll stay there for 10 hours.

Create a new layout. Have your normal GS with buck O’Neil at first. Satchel Paige as your #1 starter and the rest of the NL players as starters with one extra NL player on your bench. Make sure to have satchel Paige as your 5th pitcher on your original god squad so he restores energy. It’s a dangerous pitching staff plus you can have some of your best relievers to use as well. 🫡
