    To any new model a owner, this video is a must, especially if you're purchasing new parts,and you know they come from China,so you have to first see how everything everything fits together.Before you think you can assemble it to the car, watch this video.This is the best I think I have ever seen

    I am doing the same thing on a 1932 BB truck. You just saved me a lot of time and frustration as I am sure the rod and spider and clip work the same. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

    The view of the horseshoe retainer clip for the horn rod was exactly what I needed to figure out how to get the steering wheel off of a '37 Ford, they use the same setup down at the steering box. Thanks for posting this, very helpful.

    Followed your video today to replace my spider and everything went back together great. I also replaced the oil tube and gasket and the only discovery was the steering wheel rod would not come all the way out of my sport coupe as it made contact with the roof but that was enough clearance for me to get the oil tube back up into the steering box and then push the steering rod back through it. Thanks for your video!

    Informative! Last year I needed to replace my horn rod on my Victoria. I got it from Snyder’s. When I went to install it, it wouldn’t slide down the tube! It was too large in diameter! I called the vender, they said it was the proper part, but the way the rod was made they said I needed to sand the whole length of the rod! They said it was normal to do this! I took emery cloth and sanded the rod until it slid down the column. Where did you get your horn rod?

    • @EpicRestorationz
      @EpicRestorationz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We got ours from Snyder’s too. The only real hang up we had was with the price/ID sticker on it. Our first time putting it in the shaft, it got hung up on that. Once we removed that, although a tight fit, it went on. Maybe the filing we did on the end of the rod for the spider made ours go on better? Not sure. It was definitely more work to put that all together than we thought it would be though.

      @fredkaminski3668 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s odd that you didn’t have that tight fit on the rod. I had to sand the whole length of that rod!

      @@fredkaminski3668 I’m glad you posted about it though. If someone else has that issue, and they check the comments here, they will know what to do to make it work. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    That was a reproduction spider part and not an original, so required some modification work !!!

    • @EpicRestorationz
      @EpicRestorationz  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup. It’s getting harder to find those original parts. Gotta make those reproductions work when you need them. Thanks for watching.

    Does the horn rod push against the lights switch to ground the horn wiring at switch or does it carry the circuit up the shaft to ground at steering wheel.

    • @EpicRestorationz
      @EpicRestorationz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a wire up through the center of the rod to the horn switch which when pressed closes the circuit and the power goes back down the horn rod which is grounded at that “C” clip. The center wire up the horn shaft internal wire makes contact down at the bottom inside the whole light switch for power.

    What snapped into place @ 15:38?

    • @EpicRestorationz
      @EpicRestorationz  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From reviewing the video myself just now, I think something was set down or fell down in the background at that specific time stamp. Nothing to do with the car. If you are asking about what George clipped just prior to that point, he snapped the light switch bale into place on the light switch body at the bottom of the steering column.
