Bro what happened with his legs, was it just age or was it age AND injury, his upper body was like let's say 36, his legs were lik 76, neither wanted to get countered, both got gassed, jake carrying the extra weight, mike cuz of age, like bro
Jake threw power shots, tyson didn't let it rip in the end when it was clear he would lose on points, he coulda tried risking it, increase the chances of koing jake but also of himself getting countered, woulda been a better fight

My biggest concern was the "fight clearance approval process" by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. We're talking about a clearance which remained in place even AFTER Mike Tyson lost 50% of his blood in June, even AFTER Tyson was seen in a wheelchair in Miami Airport in August. An appalling lack of duty of care towards someone who clearly needed protection from himself. This fight should never have been allowed. Too much money at stake obviously - at both the Netflix level and within the betting industry.

That’s exactly what I saw in the beginning of the fight. He got in close and he felt the speed and power of Tyson and then he was scared. Then Tyson ran out of gas like we knew he would but the good thing is let’s not be too hard on Jake. He gave Mike Tyson a $20 million payday. For 16 minutes of work, that’s a nice payday for a legend and Mike got all the attention and accolades and felt like he was in his 20s again that’s pretty cool. His body looks great. You could just tell there’s some wear and tear a lot of stiffness which you get it 58. I know I’m the same age. And what Paul said is 100% right the difference between 53 and 58 is literally the difference between 13 and 18. I’ll take it one step further. The difference between 55 and 58 is a big step as well maybe even bigger.

Spot on Paulie, and I like that you mentioned the aging process from 53 to 58, which was overlooked by most. The Tyson that fought Roy, still had some of his legs left. The other night, even walking to the dressing room, you could see that he was struggling and I'm sure the training took an immense toll. He looked great for 58, all things considered. At his age, when fatigue sets in, there is no second wind. And Jake failed to capitalize on that. I dont see Jake beating any top boxer. But sadly, I feel that he'll be carefully navigated to a farcical title shot because he's a cash cow.

Jake should start facing real opponents from now on. He still has potential and is a great entertainer.Mike did what he could for his age and I think he had a good reason to get back in shape- an excellent pay day👍🏻In my opinion Jake was holding back an could have caused more damage if he wanted...good thing Mike could leave the ring healthy.

My Netflix started buffering a little during the Taylor Serrano fight. I exited out and went right back in and the quality was perfect. I have great internet speed but my DAZN does freezes and has much more issues. However, ESPN is 1000 times worse. I may be canceling ESPN because it takes me an hour and a half to watch a 12 round fight.

Then this would qualify for the 10%. Tyson didn't over-perform. Jake Paul didn't even try to KO him. Is Paul that much worse than Kevin McBride? Tyson was exhausted in his last two fights, 20 years ago. The Roy Jones fight was an exhibition between two old (over 50) and retired fighters. The sporting issue -- that everyone seems to overlook -- is sanctioning farces and spectacles as professional fights.

The fight was not boxing. What was shocking that night was Serrano getting butted to pieces by Taylor, the Dr taking ages to be found, then let her continue with the worst cut I've ever seen, then he was never seen again! Serrano would have won if it was stopped, although she was winning till the end, yet all 3 judges had the same fixed score. She out worked/scored Taylor by loads, despite her eyebrow hanging down into her vision, plus blood.

65 Million Live Viewers on Netflix and double or triple that if we count number of people in each of those households. Tyson obviously had a leg injury coming into fight so couldn't move like he did even for RJJ fight four years ago. Let's not forget though the Undercard had an incredible Women's fight between Taylor and Serrano and that alone should be the focus, not Tyson vs Paul.

  • @jasonjones3638

100% correct Paulie. I was hoping he'd spark him out clean in the 1st round and end this TH-cam nonsense, as it's no good for the sport. I had friends in the UK saying they couldn't even watch it on Netflix and just turned to live commentary on the BBC. The only highlight for me was Taylor and Serrano. It's the VERY 1st TH-camr fight Ive ever watched and will be the last.

DAMN PAULIE! Netflix makes their 1st attempt to bring the masses a big live event, they had some technical difficulties and you sh¡t all over it saying it should be “1 & done”. Give them a chance to get things str8 after a few events. At least it wasn’t a $70-80 ppv with shitty matchups throughout the card 🤡

If y'all consider that the 'ulcer' was a cover-up story to something worse such as a stroke that Mike had on the airplane then you will start to see that it all makes sense.
From the slap to sell it and not talk much, tripping on the walkway to the ring, no team walking out to the ring with him, no legs no coordination no speed or power or any typical bobbing and weaving, lack of any real emotions on his face, the knee brace because he probably lost motor skills on the left leg, probably biting the glove to help keep his arm up for same reasons, then challenging his brother at the end.
Mike did a cover-up to pay his team and secure funds for his family even trying to bait Logan to get more 💰 💰 because his time is short!

Tyson’s style has never lent itself to effective longevity, reliance on explosive quick twitch athleticism. RJJ, David Haye etc. yes Roy had success later but only because he moved up to face slower fighters.

MY THOUGHTS ON JAKE VS TYSON: I begin with a 4 letter word “SCAM”! But I’m not really mad at what they pulled off. They just found away to make millions of dollars without it costing viewer anything extra so we all got done in…..in a way. We were all pumped up after hearing Jake talking about Tyson’s dead daughter and watching the NETFLIX SERIES before the fight ect…Only to find out that the internet live stream started crashing after more viewers got on line! I saw the first match of the night (or I would think to be first fight). After the women’s fight started (30 seconds into the fight) the internet started to crash! So after a while of restarting the computer and the same thing happening, I watch another series’. Had no problem watching the program. When the program was finished I switched back to the fight. Jake and Mike were standing in the middle of the ring with less than a minute in the 7th round. Both were extremely wet but Mike was more winded. All in all….if someone would say something as fucked up as Jake said about my dead so and so….MOTHERFUCK’A ITS ON!!! I don’t believe I would be hugging my adversary afterwards. But in the world of Sports like Wrestling…Who knows if it’s real or fake?!
