    I think All Stars Rupert was the best. He wasn't too bitter when he got his name written down like in Pearl Islands, he wasn't spoiled like in Heroes vs. Villains, and well he was great in Blood vs Water but he only lasted for 2 episodes.

  • @dpsulliv

    Two reasons Jenna did this: (1) ties at F4 were still unclear and the ghost of the purple rock was still a terrifying prospect. (2) The jump in prize money was substantial during this season. I think 4th got $80 or $90k and 3rd got $125k; thus, there was more incentive to play safe for a higher losing position than to risk going out earlier with a possible win as reward.

      And also that as far the jury vote went, Rob was the only person left that Jenna had a chance at beating, so voting him out would guarantee herself second place at best

      dpsulliv 3rd wouldn’t get 125K. The runner-up gets 100K, so it makes no sense for the third place finisher to get more than someone who did better. 3rd gets 75K and 4th gets 60K

      I definitely think Jenna made the wrong decision but she didn’t even know that a fire making challenge breaks the tie. After Paschal got rocked out, starting in Thailand, if there was ever a 2-2 tie at the final 4, then a fire making challenge would decide the third final 3er and the second to last member of the jury. She didn’t no that because production liked to withhold information

    If this had been final 3, then the move by Jenna would have been awesome. Not so sure about a final 2 scenario though, but I guess she’s gambling a third place for a first, rather than a secure 2nd place. There’s no way she can win against Rupert.

    Its easy for us to be armchair quarterbacks and say this was a dumb move on Jenna's part; but I dont think it was.
    At this point in Survivor history, she knew to bet on an endurance final immunity challenge. She had nothing but her will to go on. What if she had won? We'd be calling her smart then, because she would have been the Sole Survivor. Also, she very well could have won the final challenge, both Jenna and Amber got eliminated in that challenge because of brief mindless moments (Jenna's foot, and Amber touching the idol with her off hand.) And even this specific challenge has given winners that wernt challenge beasts! Neleh won the very challenge in Marquesas. It was her first win. Kim J won an endurance final immunity challenge in Africa. Who expected that? Lill won in Pear Islands, who expected that? Jenna's chances wernt so horrible.
    She had to expect a rock draw in the event of a tie, which would have given her a 33% chance of going home period, and only a 33% chance of Rob going home. And what if Rob went home? Rupert probably wins the game. Thats not a good outcome for her. What if Rupert went home? Same situation where she votes him out outright. Voting for him removes the most potential risk.
    Basically, she had to choose between likely getting 3rd and maybe winning; or almost certainly getting 2nd. Even though the gamble didnt work out in her favor, I feel strongly she made the right choice.

      I believe at this time, the F4 rules were still very up in the air. So I believe Jenna was thinking it was going to be Purple Rock still, so in all honesty you can't blame her for not wanting to go to luck. I believe Palau was the first confirmation that F4 was Fire Making.

    I wish Jenna Lewis voted against Rob Mariano on Day 37 instead of Rupert because then there would have been a revote and then directly a deadlock tiebreaker. The tiebreaker would have been a fire-making challenge, which would have been super close but I think Rob M. would still have won the fire-making challenge and the remaining results of the season still are the same.

  • @mattborowski522
    @mattborowski522 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Jenna made the right move here. She doesn't beat Amber or Rupert in the final 2 and has a coin flip against Boston Rob (Shii Ann said in the finale she would have switched her vote to Rob in that scenario but that's without each stating their case). So rather than risk leaving at 4 with the best outcome finishing as the runner up, she gave herself a shot to win if she won immunity. At that time, the final immunity was always endurance which neutralizes some of Robs strength.

    This is a bad move by Jenna. Even if the tiebreaker is rocks, you have to take your chances. By voting out Rupert, she made it so she had to beat both Rob and Amber at the final immunity challenge. The chances of that happening were very low. She would have been better off forcing the tie and hoping to get Rob out of the game. At that point, she's basically guaranteed to get to the final two. Rupert would vote out Amber, and both Jenna and Amber would vote out Rupert. Jenna loses to Rupert, but she beats Amber.

      I'd have to disagree with you there. Going into a rock draw with only 3 people eligible to draw is risky business.
      If Jenna won the final challenge, she would've won the season.
      Plus, Rupert could've beaten Jenna in a jury vote, Rob or Amber would've lost to Jenna.

    • @aceee06
      @aceee06 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      She never came close to winning individual challenges, the only thing I can think of is that she thought she could only beat Rob not Amber and since Amber had immunity she voted Rupert to keep Rob around and throw a Hail Mary towards winning final immunity and then voting off Amber. If it was a tie it may not be a rock draw since it's final 4 despite the Marquesas incident.
