It doesn’t matter if they got rid of Jerri or Amber - the original Mogo Mogo still didn’t have the numbers. Lex, Kathy, Shii Ann (and Jerri if they got rid of Amber) would have been voted out first post-merge anyway. And Big Tom, Rupert, Jenna and Alicia were just way too obsessed with going to the end with Boston Rob that they would never jump ship to work with Mogo Mogo

Ryan Ferry yeah. She had good one liners also she’s not fond of Rob but respects his gameplay which is why I liked her. She didn’t take the game personally and knew it was just apart of what needed to be done unlike Alecia who was a bitter sore loser.

She’s really the only person to have quite the difference in how she played. She was the sole survivor then was the first voted off then was in the final 4 basically so close to win and could won.
Most bitter jury of all time and it’s a shame because they’re all returning players and shouldn’t hold grudges. I’m specifically referring to Tom and Alicia, I think Lex was justified because Rob totally fucked him over and lied to his face
Mike Mena the controversy around did cost Hatch his spot in S40. However what actually happened in the incident is debatable as well as whose fault it was. Hatch has uploaded a video describing his side of the story and to me it is rather compelling.

It must've been so weird at the time to see Rob who was pre-jury in his first season dominate against former winners and finalists. We now know that there are too many variables in Survivor to judge a player by a single season.

LL H she stayed in the game because she was a stronger physical player over Rob Cesternino. She also had an alliance with Rob M and Amber early on in the game. She also hardly had to go to tribal council so it doesn’t make sense that people are upset that she made it far. She made the top 7 by winning challenges and by being on the dominant tribe. Happens a lot on Survivor. In many interviews, others have noted that Alicia was only voted out last minute as Jenna Lewis and Rupert were almost kicked off before Alicia.
LL H well whatever she said, she was still in an alliance or agreement with rob and Amber because they promised each other not to vote for one another. Alicia was an All Star and deserved to be there as she was super memorable in Australia. She was wayyyyy more memorable than Jenna Lewis, Shii Ann, or Amber. Alicia was apart of the main cast and wasn’t on because others backed out a la Jenna or Amber.
AJL even back in Survivor Africa he was relatively just as terrible. Never forget the time when he got so pissed off after receiving one vote (from Teresa Cooper) and he mistakenly believed that it was Kelly Goldsmith who did it, so he rallied against her.

I like Lex but he was a horrible decision maker. Kind of wish Clarence or even Frank had been in All-Stars. I think Clarence especially deserved another shot.
Tina, Rob C., Colby, Rich, and Ethan were all eliminated for their previous reputations. Rudy was sadly the weakest link on his tribe and couldn't help in challenges. Everyone else caused their own demise IMO. I felt really bad for Rob C. since he was on a tribe with no winners or big names to hide behind. Lex and Kathy were fools to get rid of Ethan, Rich and Colby. The 3 were stronger than Jerri and Shiann and were the perfect shields to hide behind.

The first two episodes of Pearl Islands had aired before the All Stars cast left for filming, so they knew a little about him. That's why everyone was elated to see him in the first episode's challenge.

Saboga: Ethan (3), Rupert (7), Rudy (1), Jerri (2), Deena (6), Tina (2). I removed Boston Rob because he went out pre-jury in Marquesas (however Shii Ann's still in because she was screwed over with the fake merge twist and was the best player of Thailand other than Brian). I removed Alicia because she was not that pleasant in Australia. I removed Amber because she was forgettable in Australia. I removed Jenna M only so she could've been with her mother and give her spot to Heidi. I removed Jenna L because well she wasn't very compelling in Borneo. I added Sean because he was a great character in Marquesas. I added Darrah to add more Pearl Islands players and because she was a challenge beast and underdog towards the end. S M she sucks at the game and bitter for no reason. She thinks she is badass, but she is just abrasive. She didn’t make any moves but she expected to slide through to the final easily, and then acted like she didn’t deserve to be voted out. The facial expressions when she was sitting in the jury were so annoying and unnecessary. She was unlikeable in both of her seasons. I’m so glad she didn’t get called back for another season. Terrible Survivor player.

Replace Amber and Rob with Big Tom (was a loveable big character in Africa) and Kathy (She was loveable in Marquesas) and I agree. Lex was also a true All Star and made merge. But yeah Jenna L, Alicia, Amber, and Boston Rob should not have come back for All Stars as they were either forgettable (Jenna/Amber) or didn't make it far enough to make a big impact on their seasons (Alicia/Rob). The ONLY exception would be Shii Ann (she was by far the best character from Thailand and while she wasn't a true All Star I think she deserved to be on the season because she was screwed over by the fake merge). Boston Rob would've suited Survivor: Second Chance better. Sean from Marquesas should've been in Rob's spot. Jenna L, Alicia, Amber had no business to come back ever tbh.
I think part of the reason why this season sucked so bad was because the majority of the cast were from seasons 1-3, which made up 12/18 of the cast. Seasons 1-3 were the earliest seasons with the least strategy; they were mainly focused on friendships and surviving the elements. People like Tina, Rudy, Ethan, Colby who were from these seasons didn't do too well in All-Stars due to not being strategic enough to save themselves, and most of the jurors (Lex, Big Tom, Alicia) were also from these seasons and either were goats or made really stupid moves, and they didn't adapt to Boston Rob's cutthroat gameplay, hence they felt hurt from him and didn't vote him to win. I guarantee you had the cast included more people from seasons 4, 6 and 7 (Thailand was bad so we can forget about it) like Sean, Neleh, Vecepia, Heidi, Deena, Christy, Fairplay, Christa, Darrah, etc, which were the "newer" seasons at the time with people that were able to be a bit more strategic and were able to handle blindsides, All Stars would've been better and less dark of a season.
I wish we could see an alternate version of this had Amber got voted out premerge instead of Jerri. I think Rob would’ve been super mad but he still would rally to kick Lex, Shii Ann and Kathy out first anyway since the original Chapera still had the numbers.
Rob lost because of one simple factor: He seriously hurt the people who thought they were close to him. It’s why Lex, Alicia, and Big Tom voted for Amber to win.

You call tell all stars changed the game of survivor in many ways. But one way was that at the time, everyone was friends when they played, so they voted out all the popular fan liked players who were popular and big threats. Which ended up hurting everyone in the merge as they’re was so meat shield or threat to vote out instead. Now players are aware of that and keep those players in the game. If this aired today, people like Ethan Rob C, Colby, Rich, and maybe Jerri would’ve made the merge. Bc no one had anywhere to hide once they merged this season.
Sue quitting is sadder than Jenna quitting i know Jenna left do to a family emergancy but Sue was sexually assaulted on that challenge sexual violate is a no no
Im episode 5 during the immunity challenge, which involved moving past people on platforms to grab flags, Richard (who was Naked), walked past Sue but in the moment, was intentionally rubbing himself on her. It was brushed off at first and Richard was voted out (for completely different reasons). Over the course of the 24 hour period, Sue processed it more in her head and couldnt take the thought of what happened and the having to go home and everyone see it so she lashed out and quit.
Why did they let him be naked in the first place? He wouldn’t have been allowed anywhere else. That was stupid on Survivors part . So glad he isn’t on the 40th
So Rob and Amber were going against Rupert and Jenna. Tom was right in the middle so both sides tried to get his vote. Tom told Rob and Amber that he didnt know what he was gonna do so the two went to the other two to blindside him.
Though this season was super over the top dramatic, I kind of feel bad for Amber. To know you only won because you were slightly more likable than the guy that should’ve won kinda sucks. Not saying she’s got a crappy life or anything, but that’s gotta kinda sting knowing all that

The thing I hated about this season was the overly bitter jury. It’s part of the game to lie and backstab and if you were to do it now the jury would be mad and shake it off however I’m this season the people were so bitter that in their jury speech all they did was complain
I think the difference in this season was that these were all people that knew each other and have bonded long before the season started so it became a very personal game out of the gate. Plus, there were pre game alliances that ultimately got broken (Lex, Tom, Kathy and Rob M were supposedly together before the fliming) and so it adds I guess salt to a wound. It just was a time in Survivor where no one was expecting such brutal gameplay.

Tina, Rob C., Colby, Rich, and Ethan were all eliminated for their previous reputations. Rudy was sadly the weakest link on his tribe and couldn't help in challenges. Everyone else caused their own demise IMO.
I felt really bad for Rob C. since he was on a tribe with no winners or big names to hide behind. Lex and Kathy were fools to get rid of Ethan, Rich and Colby. The 3 were stronger than Jerri and Shiann and were the perfect shields to hide behind.
+AJL At least Shii Ann won an individual challenge which saved that episode. She also did pretty well in that log barrel challenge. (please don't bash me)

S M she sucks at the game and bitter for no reason. She thinks she is badass, but she is just abrasive. She didn’t make any moves but she expected to slide through to the final easily, and then acted like she didn’t deserve to be voted out. The facial expressions when she was sitting in the jury were so annoying and unnecessary. She was unlikeable in both of her seasons. I’m so glad she didn’t get called back for another season. Terrible Survivor player.

Replace Amber and Rob with Big Tom (was a loveable big character in Africa) and Kathy (She was loveable in Marquesas) and I agree.
Lex was also a true All Star and made merge.
But yeah Jenna L, Alicia, Amber, and Boston Rob should not have come back for All Stars as they were either forgettable (Jenna/Amber) or didn't make it far enough to make a big impact on their seasons (Alicia/Rob). The ONLY exception would be Shii Ann (she was by far the best character from Thailand and while she wasn't a true All Star I think she deserved to be on the season because she was screwed over by the fake merge).
Boston Rob would've suited Survivor: Second Chance better. Sean from Marquesas should've been in Rob's spot.

I think part of the reason why this season sucked so bad was because the majority of the cast were from seasons 1-3, which made up 12/18 of the cast. Seasons 1-3 were the earliest seasons with the least strategy; they were mainly focused on friendships and surviving the elements. People like Tina, Rudy, Ethan, Colby who were from these seasons didn't do too well in All-Stars due to not being strategic enough to save themselves, and most of the jurors (Lex, Big Tom, Alicia) were also from these seasons and either were goats or made really stupid moves, and they didn't adapt to Boston Rob's cutthroat gameplay, hence they felt hurt from him and didn't vote him to win.
I guarantee you had the cast included more people from seasons 4, 6 and 7 (Thailand was bad so we can forget about it) like Sean, Neleh, Vecepia, Heidi, Deena, Christy, Fairplay, Christa, Darrah, etc, which were the "newer" seasons at the time with people that were able to be a bit more strategic and were able to handle blindsides, All Stars would've been better and less dark of a season.
I wish we could see an alternate version of this had Amber got voted out premerge instead of Jerri. I think Rob would’ve been super mad but he still would rally to kick Lex, Shii Ann and Kathy out first anyway since the original Chapera still had the numbers.

You call tell all stars changed the game of survivor in many ways. But one way was that at the time, everyone was friends when they played, so they voted out all the popular fan liked players who were popular and big threats. Which ended up hurting everyone in the merge as they’re was so meat shield or threat to vote out instead. Now players are aware of that and keep those players in the game. If this aired today, people like Ethan Rob C, Colby, Rich, and maybe Jerri would’ve made the merge. Bc no one had anywhere to hide once they merged this season.

Can someone explain me what happened with Sue please?
Im episode 5 during the immunity challenge, which involved moving past people on platforms to grab flags, Richard (who was Naked), walked past Sue but in the moment, was intentionally rubbing himself on her. It was brushed off at first and Richard was voted out (for completely different reasons). Over the course of the 24 hour period, Sue processed it more in her head and couldnt take the thought of what happened and the having to go home and everyone see it so she lashed out and quit.

So Rob and Amber were going against Rupert and Jenna. Tom was right in the middle so both sides tried to get his vote. Tom told Rob and Amber that he didnt know what he was gonna do so the two went to the other two to blindside him.

Though this season was super over the top dramatic, I kind of feel bad for Amber. To know you only won because you were slightly more likable than the guy that should’ve won kinda sucks. Not saying she’s got a crappy life or anything, but that’s gotta kinda sting knowing all that

The thing I hated about this season was the overly bitter jury. It’s part of the game to lie and backstab and if you were to do it now the jury would be mad and shake it off however I’m this season the people were so bitter that in their jury speech all they did was complain
I think the difference in this season was that these were all people that knew each other and have bonded long before the season started so it became a very personal game out of the gate. Plus, there were pre game alliances that ultimately got broken (Lex, Tom, Kathy and Rob M were supposedly together before the fliming) and so it adds I guess salt to a wound. It just was a time in Survivor where no one was expecting such brutal gameplay.
jared deswart yeah but even then Lex came up to Ethan and straight up told him the game was separate from real life and he had to vote him out but when rob told Lex he was voting for him Lex flipped out
