      Close to Hayes inlet 😉 most of the sand flats in the area will fish the same!

    Thanks for the video. Looks like a nice day. I’m watching it inside on a cold, miserable afternoon. Is your hook remover just a pair of long thin tongs? Hard to tell in the clip. They look useful.

      Thanks mate! I’m currently a veterinary student and these are haemostat forceps used for ligating blood vessels. They are great for fishing as they don’t rust and are great for super small trebles and hooks. And you can get them from eBay for super cheap!

      @@dang.fishing Thanks mate. I’ll check them out. Are they reasonably strong?

    • @dang.fishing
      @dang.fishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JH-nh9xx pretty strong haven’t had any break on me yet. I’ve used them for removing hooks from jacks but nothing bigger than that

    Was that a species of Cod m8 ? Looks quite like a cod but I could be miles wrong lol as I'm more of a Trout and salmon and pike Fisher from Scotland.

      Nah these are called Flathead and Flounder here in Australia. We have cod but they look a little different

    Hey Mate, nice video. Couple quick questions what stage of the tide were you fishing, bottom of low tide up? Were casting at gutters or random spots along the beach?

      This particular area I was fishing the last of the run out/start of the run in and only out there for like 1.5 hours around that tide turn.
      The area I was targeting had a small drop off, however I found that as soon as the substrate change (from just sand to broken gravel and weed) that’s where I found the fish. Hope this helps!

      @@dang.fishing Thanks mate. I have caught flathead on fly in very similar sort of locations.

    Nice video, except for that annoying watch band. You need to lock that tag down, as it constantly was flapping in the video.
