    I have a terrible time with painting skin in general, male or female, so this video was a blessing for me. Thank you, Don!

      You are most welcome Christopher. I find female skin easier or at least faster though. Male muscular models have so many contours to highlight and shade. 😅🎨🎨🎨

    Awesome video! Can't wait for the brush tutorial, because I still feel insecure with my airbrush when it comes to painting anything outside of basecoat and major highlights. Your tips on thinner and using different psi I will definitely try out!

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its kinda tricky to get used to your airbrush, since the paint thinning or not thinning plays a big role in the process. But honestly, once you get the hangof it, it will be boring. 😅 I personally find it more fulfilling to brush paint minis. ☺️🎨🎨🎨

      Try priming a huge sheet of plastic from a container of some sort and practicing on it. Or even a sheet of paper to work on your lines & values (small dots to bigger dots). Also look into airbrush tutorials & exercises to get you use to the airbrush. It's helped me so much!

    gotta be honest, these specific paints are pretty hard to find where I'm at.
    for the red that's pretty simple, as you said, any red or purple that's dark and you can airbrush works
    light flesh should be easy, just grab any equivalent
    flesh, Reikland flesh should work
    varnish is varnish
    white glaze is white glaze
    but for the pink that's where I'm pretty much having issues.
    are there any citadel or AK equivalents? that's what I've got where I live

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ruby for AK and Screamer Pink? Of Citadel should work fine. 😊🎨🎨🎨

    Omg bro! 😱 Will you ever stop teaching me new things?! 😱
    I hope not 😅
    This video is also very useful for someone like me who has been using the airbrush to paint miniatures for a long time, thanks! 🙇🏻‍♂️
    Maybe sometime you give me the recipe for the thinning of the model colors that I use 🤣
    Oh well, that changes depending on the color, but looking at the dilution ratios you use with the mecha, I would spend time with the models with the clogged duse 🤣
    Models are like ... toothpaste compared to mechas 😅 Great video and lovely miniature... From Italy 😎🤣

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I rarely airbrush with Model Colors and Game, but will do so in one of the bigger 3D printed models. I am just waiting for a silicone mould for the resin work on the base though. ☺️

    looking forward for the brush tutorial, since I don't have access to an airbrush. I used one in the past, but none of the hobby compressors that I used worked, always overheating/blowing up, so I always like it when people use the old fashion bristle brush. Also what's your opinion on Mecha colors with bristle brush? I'm currently having trouble getting Vallejo paints here in MN, USA

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mecha for brush painting feels different than Model Colors. It can be done, but I do not recommend it sir. More brush painting videos soon. Cheers! ☺️🎨🎨🎨

    Skin Tones always seem like a struggle for me, using the base reds and talking about warm colors was a " light bulb" moment. Of course the under coat makes the big difference, don't know why I missed it. Nailed what I was missing.

    quit lifting your finger off the trigger you need airflow always or you get splatter, just go forward while still holding down and go back for paint, it's not an aerosol can...
