The machinery and tractors are a credit to you Baldy. The only way to mind kit. And great to see a man being honest about the John Deere. You won't be sorry for buying a McCormick, I have three of them and brilliant tractors.
Have to agree, it doesn't matter what brand of tractor you buy they all brake down even Fendt's , I would go for which dealer is loyal and not a liar for them to line their pockets.👍
I think it’s important to be honest about the kit we have got. I would never want to mislead anyone into thinking I liked something that I didn’t. I really like the McCormicks to be honest, very high if not too on the list for me.
Great to hear you being so complimentary of mcHale, their a great Irish company , wouldn’t be a fan of parking the mounted mowers in an upright position, the oil will all sit at one side of the bed and would leave the gears exposed in the bed, could possibly lead to rusting of the gears over the winter , great fleet of machinery you’ve got there, well maintained and in great condition👌🏻
The Mchale kit is excellent! Honestly couldn’t think of better kit out there. Good pint about the mower actually. Hadn’t thought of that at all. The only one I have seen was at a show a few years ago and it seemed like a good idea! 👍
@@baldysfarm hello there, i have been watching all your videos. I am a massive fan of cattle farming BUT HAVE NO CLUE how farming works in practice. In fact I am planning to start my own cattle farming. is it possible to have some practicle training from you? I do NOT need any payment whatsoever. I just need practicle knowledge. Please let me know.
Class video really enjoyed it all your kit is so well looked after credit to you it pays in the long run especially when you go to change something to a new machine 👍
Great machinery and equipment tour mate. Out of interest if you could replace the 125r what would you go for? Keep up the great work can’t wait for part 2.
Thanks Kai. I’m not 100% sure at the minute but it’s most likely a toss up between a McCormick or a Case. I do really like the New Hollands but we don’t have a dealer very close which unfortunately rules those out for us.
Another Fantastic and engaging Video!!! Very impressive tour of some of your Farm machinery......if I had a Farm I would want my machinery to look like yours when not being used....VERY VERY VERY Well presented. Also your Shearing Trailer looks the Rollox.....maybe you should go into building them?....I am sure Cammy from the Sheep Game would be interested in one!!!! I am looking forward to Sunday to take a peek at Part 2. Congrats too on only 3 E*** words counted😃😃😃 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Haha! 😂 thanks for the ‘E’ count! I’m trying my best. 🙈 We like to look after our kit. It’s import I think as it helps you find anything that need fixing in the winter before you need it again in the spring. Also give us a chance to change wearing parts ready for the spring too. I have though about making the shearing trailers before but I’m not sure how big of a market there would be for them. Hope Sunday is up to standard too 🤞 👍
@@baldysfarm Shearing trailers might be a slow burner BUT I am sure Cammy has some connections too. It will not belong before Cammy and you will be on TV along with Tom Pemberton so I'd say give building your shearing trailers some thought. I am 64 years old and am a BIG fan of ALL you young professional farmers...so the more social media you guys do...the more support you will all garner and that really has to be a good thing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Have you considered rearing Wagyu Beef? Your current stock look amazing....I am sure you could be leading Wagyu breeders and rearers...very lucrative I believe
The 00 and 10 series were just the perfect John Deere tractors, but you do want a newish one for road use as you get speed and the best comfort, Great video can’t wait for part 2!
Couldn’t agree more. We had a 6400 which was awesome and the 6410 was a perfected version of it. I think they have really gone down hill in terms of performance since then but you are right, the newer ones are more comfortable. 👍
@@baldysfarm Its not a Wuffler ,it is a Cock Pheasant like you said ,made by British Lely ,a Wuffler is usually only half the size and was made by Bamfords.😁
If you sell one of the As 8T trailers let me know as of probably buy if price is right. Don't need a big trailer but mine is getting rough now and there aren't so many 8' s about these days.
Yeh both excellent tractors! The R series have really let John Deere down in my opinion. That and they dealer service has completely gone to pot over the last 5 years or so. 🤦🏼♂️Shame really.

McHale build heavy machinery for tough Irish conditions and they are built to last all over the world.

Thanks Paul. Dads always drilled it into me to look after the kit as much as possible so I guess it’s second nature now. 👍
Interesting old kit in the video, alot I'm still using !!! Interesting fact about the sheep shearing trailer.🤔👍
There’s still more good older kit in the second video too 👍
Going to enjoy this !! 😁👍

Could the fords not fit in that pole shed
Only the dexta, except it isn’t man enough to pick anything up though. The 4600 can’t even fit under.
Its called a wuffler, good few of them round here
Thanks James, it’s been a good old bit of kit.

Your doing better than us! 😂 We struggle with dealer service too which hasn’t helped the situation.
