Hey, I mainly use 2 jigging rods for norway fishing: Crony M/S 531MH, 5,3" 180-300g PE3-5. PENN TRQ nano Jigging 5,6" / 168cm C.W. 3,5-8,8oz / 100-250g. Reels = Quantum cabo 80 x2. 25kg drag. But frankly you are bettwer off with a regular multi reel for big halibut, that you can rest the rod and reel against the side of the boat. With my setup you cannot as the line in on the downside. It is fun with jigging gear though :) Glad to see the polish interest in my fishing :)
@@Patrik.Alriksson I'm glad you answered me so quickly. I asked because while at the Lofoten fishing base this year, the fishing guide laughed at my Fladen Maxximus Nano Jiggin 5 "30-50lbs rod. He said it was too short. As a result I was fishing with a Cormoran 10" 100-180g at a depth of 100-140 meters. For my next trip to Norway, I want to buy a Penn Regiment III Spin And Pilk - 2.44m 100-250g rod. Is this a good choice? PS. I am writing with the help of google translator.
@@wojciechrad4289 I believe the Penn regiment will be good. Check my other video, I caught a halibut 1,49cm on pike gear. Im not sure why teh guide laughed at your gear, but let them laugh all they want, who cares :)
@@Patrik.Alriksson Hi Patrik, thanks for sharing your fishing tips :) I am going to Nothaugen end of this month, I was wondering which jigs did you use for halibuts ? Would you mind to share the reference ? :)

Kind regards
