    How do you set your speakers up? What do you love about it?

      Yes, I also use Sound Anchors for my Barefoot MM27s!! They are incredibly heavy!! Came with the aluminium pucks!! Cost a bomb to get here in Australia (probably due to the weight ;-) )

    I just picked up a pair of the Ultimate Support stands that you have! It really is insane just HOW DIFFERENT everything sounds when your speakers aren't on the desk. I never realized how much low-mid resonance was coming from having my speakers on my desk.

    Hi Andrew … I use a pair of Unity Audio “Monolith” stands to support a pair of Adam Audio A77X monitors in my home studio … They offer a large range of height adjustment and at 30 Kilo’s each are rock solid too ! … I use 5 Kilo solid high density fibre board isolation plinths, that sit on top of the spiked top plate of each stand to support a pair of IsoAcoustic ISO-430 stands upon which my monitors are placed … It’s not a cheap solution by any means but it certainly works in my instance ! … Thank you for a truly informative channel … All the best … Siobhan

    I use Sound Anchors under my Barefoot MM35s, and there's nothing else out there that gives the level of low-end isolation that they do. With the amount of low end modern high-end monitors are putting out, like the Barefoots and Focals, stands like these are 100% worth the investment. Congrats!

    Hi Andrew, I have a pair of Trio6's on those Ultimate Support stands I have them sitting on the rubber inserts that come with the stand, they work pretty well, but the stands can be greatly improved further by filling the third chamber in the stands with steel shot, I put 7.5kg of shot in each stand and it made a difference, if i touch the stand at the bottom when the music is playing there is no vibration at all being transferred to the floor, a very effective and relatively cheap improvement 🙃

      Mandels Steel Shot size 6 5kg

    There is seriously nothing else out there like these Sound Anchors. GOAT for sure.

    Nice stands. but I needed 9 so I use 2 concrete blocks with a upside down concrete footer/post holder on top with isolation pads. Painted and some led lights in them I could not be happier.

    I got a set of stands that were the cheapest and they destroyed the sound of my speakers. Got to be very stable/solid or you lose bass response.

    Hey Andrew, would you still recommend the ultimate support stands for something like the Neumann KH310's? I'm looking in that price range... like, maybe under $500

    What size iso model for Yamaha hs8?? And will they fit the ultimate support stand??….

    Cool stuff! Next you've gotta tackle the Microphone stand. It's hard to find the heavy weight stands that won't tilt over or the base takes up a lot of space. I'm currently looking at the Latch Lake MicKing 2200 but it costs almost $300. I'm trying to think of it as an investment...lol.

    • @AndrewMasters
      @AndrewMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Latchlakes are good, I really dig the ATLAS stands!

    Hey man im a peasant who can only afford barefoot footprint 01 as an upgrade from my hs8 and matching sub... is there anything else you'd recommend at a similar price point for bass heavy r&b rap production? Thank ya sir

    Best monitor stands are a pair of 3 foot ASC tube traps with isopucks under the monitors

    Aren't spike type feet for coupling stands to the floor instead of doing the opposite?

  • @producerdanieldennis

    GOAT stands indeed. Got my ATCs off my desk a month ago and got them on Sound Anchor ADJ2s, and it made more of a difference than I was expecting! Low end clarity was the most noticeable difference as well as stereo imaging 🐐

    As always the video is super interesting. It brought a question not directly related to the topic. Speaking of resonance, having your studio in an attic, the floor mass is not that big. Did you ever experienced any kind of resonance with the floor and how did you deal with it?

    • @AndrewMasters
      @AndrewMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven't noticed anything crazy, would be interesting to be able to A/B this exact setup on a concrete floor though!

    Did I noticed the grace design m905 ???? If you added this congrats !!!! that's the rolls royce !!! and I hope you took the digital card, because the DAC is just amazing !!!! I recently bought a crane song avocet, and the DAC is also crazy much better than my converter (and I have lynx a one).

    from a fabrication stands point - the Ultimate Support Stands is way nicer made than thoes expensive ones.. haha its crazy to see something thats basicly just cheap u profile get sold for 1300 dollars and nice machined and anodized parts cost a fifth hahh.

    Stopped using the Clarity M, and the RMX16?

    • @AndrewMasters
      @AndrewMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clarity is right next to me. My racks are full so I literally have gear stacked on top of my sub lol. The rmx16 is back there. Waiting for some new racks to do a bit of an overhaul!

    Sound anchors are good, but quality is inconsistent. Northward stands are really top of the top.

    I just saw my friend trip on a speaker wire and the stand fell... not a great stand very small foot print.. the speaker crashed to the floor.. lucky for him.. the speaker was ok.. A wide base, wider than the speaker is recomended in my book.

    K&M Konig & Meyer 26722 heavy-duty height-adjustable stands. The Ultimate Supports are not height adjustable, which is why I would never buy them.

    If you are really going to do this, Never buy anything that you would sell, because... well... if you ever need to sell it, it will either force you to find a way NOT to, or it will be highly valuable to the one you are selling it to.

      I work very hard on my videos, they're not perfect and neither am I. I make them how I like to watch them. You clicked the video and decided to watch it. Your choice, not mine.
