    You are so good at “thinking out loud” while you paint. It is so helpful. Love your work.

    Really cool to see how you took the lessons from the plein air piece to influence another design oriented painting. Really nice work!

    You captured wave energy with myriads of color changes snd brushstrokes in both paintings. Left me wanting to see more of your process in the second painting. And some more commentary on Ariah's painting.

    Michael and Ariah, you are both so good - loose brushwork and subtle palette with total harmony.

    A very lovely, awesome painting, filled with beautiful textures and very realistic colors. A wonderful and breathtaking masterpiece!

    You nailed that sky man, and isolating the alizarin tone at the horizon- nice. You talk about going with ur intuition, that’s great advice. I would have been reticent with the red tones just for fear of getting a muddy result, but ur choice was spot on. As for those waves, given your time constraints, they are solid. I really enjoy your Pacific landscapes- something about that seemingly endless expanse being both sort of tranquil and flat yet more dynamic and in motion than near anything else in nature is just a great contrast of feelings

    Love how the distanced water turned out and the overall design of the white water in the foreground of the painting as you said in the end of the video, also the surfing clip!😎

    0:49 reminds me of ( previously older story, painting ) , “” battered and bruised Labrador, led the pack in a nighttime bear hunt , now exhausted ( maybe bleeding a tiny bit ) , sleeps and rests from the night’s activities, ( the bear got away ) , remembering the silhouette of a fox laying in the distance, always thought he led them to the bear to shake them off his scent, ( in the earlier painting which may be this one ) , was lightly napping further in the distance .

    Hiya Michael! I’m amazed at how you can see those subtle colors out there, like the crimson in the distant waves, and the green in the sand. Does that come with practice, observation, imagination?

    • @chamberlainpaintings
      @chamberlainpaintings  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Miriam! The ability to see those delicate colors has come with practice. I often exaggerate the colors but rarely add from my imagination. I do use my imagination when it comes to color.
