I think it's because Alpine isn't an option to drive for. Prob the same reason why Lando shows up in a good chunk of scenes as well. They couldn't use drivers for other teams, because depending on which team you pick, certain drivers aren't used on the grid.
I like how the supposed Dutch guy has an incredibly Danish accent.

I like how AlphaTauri is struggling for fourth, while Haas has somehow stayed in fourth in front of Alpine and Aston Martin and all those teams better than them
@@dannydds91 Yes Haas is also ahead of either McLaren or Ferrari since 1st and 2nd are Mercedes and Redbull the 3rd is Ferrari or McLaren and the team which isn’t third is most likely 6th since 4th is AlphaTauri at the end of the season and 5th is Haas but maybe in the final race when both Haas crash the 6th place team could’ve moved to 5th.

@@crayjev I’ve played through the entire mode and I chose racing point. The first season is as racing point driver, then in the second season you’re driving for Aston Martin. So no you do not go to Mercedes. They talk about it yes, but you never get to drive in a Mercedes as Aiden or Casper in the mode

Alpni and McLaren are the only teams where nothing is done in the game and Esteban with Lando are the only drivers that guaranteedly stay in the same team then no matter what happens in the game.
Judging by the cutscenes, looks like CodeMasters learned all they need to know about F1 through Drive to Survive.

NOTE: Aiden changes what team he wants to drive for depending on what team you choose, so Williams and Racing Point/Aston Martin they say he dreams to drive for Mercedes but Alpha Tauri they say Red Bull and Alfa Romeo and Haas they say Ferrari
I also like one fact: Aiden can't drive in Mclaren or Alpine and those teams can't be Aiden dream, but instead you often see in background Ocon and Norris
It'll be more fitting with Alfa Romeo and Ferrari.
If that's mean they will put our main antagonist with Mazepin.

1) He got into a season long fight with Perez at Force India
2) He was actually involved in a physical altercation with a Dutch driver
3) He was initially vying for the Mercedes seat
4) Force India actually finished 4th both years he and Perez fought
Breaking point the true heros are ocon and Lando this Aiden, butler and Casper stuff is actually filler

@@_qwe_fk_1700 Regional Pricing is gone due to EA's pricing structure. This means the game is the same or similar pricing in all regions and currencies. Thus the game in countries like India where the average salary is a lot lower than in the west, the game price used to be scaled to a lower affordable price. This is no longer the case so the F1 games cost an arm and a leg in those markets even if it seems reasonable to those in the west.
Lord Mahaveer actually moves out of the way when being lapped. That shocked me more than anything.

For a Motorsport game and the “rise of the rookie and the aging vertian” Cliché, the story mode was really REALLY good, I would give it a 9/10.
No IT was very Bad and Extremely short, i completed IT in 1 day. The story was also weird, because in the first season you are Jackson and in the second season you are Akkerman. There are also no special things or easter eggs added. And there is only 1 way to complete IT. If you compare this to the journey from FIFA. Then the journey would destroy this.
@@florisonyoutube5349 Tbf, this was Codies' first crack or at least first PROPER try at a campaign story mode. If you call this one short, and man oh man you would like to see F1 2019's. It had none. And for Codies' first proper attempt, the cutscenes look beautiful, visuals are ok. Story is sort of lacking.

At 6:23, I like how they used that camera shot to block the speaker's mouth. I'm assuming the name spoken will depend on the team you chose at the start. This way, they don't have to worry about lip syncing issues.

I used to work for one of the teams, that actually happened to a former colleague of mine though for a different offence.
Which team Aiden wants to drive for depends on which team you choose at the start. For example, if you choose Alpha Tauri, he wants to drive for RedBull, ect.
The sad part of this is that this is good as it's going to get since any future titles will be EA controlled

At this point it serves as a really fun tutorial. But I couldn’t help at noticing at how easy the hardest difficulty was. The Sochi level where you set the fastest lap was the only one I had to retry because in the other levels you can usually race yourself in the correct position with 2-3 laps to spare.

I'm glad you mentioned all the pain of 2021 at the end because I was starting to feel bad about getting 2020 because of the cost, I'm not missing out on much
They literally picked up a random 16yr old from London to do aidens voicelines
He did a good job, the problem were the facial animations which are seriously hard to make, especially the lips and that's why it looks weird

For me, an exciting addition to breaking point would be to use the cars’ actual performances in the story mode. That way you can work out what difficulty you want it at, and that the faster group of cars will be easier.

Love the on-track cutscenes in this! Shame that the replay/multiplayer broadcast cameras aren't this smooth 😂😪
I loved the TOCA series and the Braking Point mode reminded me of those old games 😍
My two major issues with Braking Point:
- no matter how well you do, Butler's team is always ahead of you and it always comes down to finishing in (spoiler) place in the final race
- there's no way that teammates would be affected by paddock gossip like that
I got first in every race it allowed me as Casper, yet he was still 6th in the WDC by Abu…
I love how Esteban and Lando are besties :)
A good review of every codemasters F1 game is a video by Raycevick, he played all of them from the best to the worst, to even the kart racing spin off that was genuinely funny to watch.

I played as Alfa Romeo in breaking point and it was pretty fun. Loved that I could spot the Spain 2016 reference as well as perform a multi-21. I found the story length to be just right for a busy guy like me, plus I got to race with the best livery on the grid 😍😍😍. Got both drivers a win at Paul Ricard and Zandvoort. It’s one of two reasons why I have F1 2021. The other is because of my team because it’s something I haven’t done before. Sadly I hit a bug when entering Paul Ricard’s pit lane and yeah, I know how treacherous the Ai can be. Hopefully they’ll have some fixes to resolve that lot out.
16:42 Not to mention how OP the AI are at corners like Copse, Pouhon, the esses in Suzuka and Scheivlak (the double right hander in Zandvoort)

I think it's a good start for a storyline they haven't really done so looking forward to the future to see if the story is more developed and a little more enthralling

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s a nice mini change of pace from Team or Driver career mode.
I saw the title and got so scared, i thought "is Braking Point worth it?" meant that the story mode had to be purchased like a DLC. Thank god i was wrong.

The story is not bad in my opinion. I liked that we got to see both sides of the teammate dynamic and Ackerman's family was lovely
Went with Williams too for my first campaign, cause it made the Mercedes seat abit more believable, as since Racing Point had Ocon and he was aimed at a Merc seat at some point
The F1 2021 got a 1.5x increase in price compared with the last one, at least here in Brazil. So, hell no it's worth It.

Yes. Unironically the most fun I've had with an F1 game maybe since they first brought out the classic mode. The scripted nature allows for some fun scenarios, and cliches aside using fictional characters allows them to have a heel (Butler), and let the protagonists act in ways that they'd never allow real drivers to be portrayed. I loved the cinematics, and I loved how they tried to show that Casper and Jackson have different motivations and perspectives, but both are easy to identify with. I would really, really love for them to expand on this concept in the coming releases, with more elaborate scripted setpieces and stuff. Loved it, do recommend.
Really my only criticism is that, for me, Challenging was a bit too easy and the hardest difficulty felt impossible. Would be nice to sort of fine tune the difficulty. Really what these games need is a difficulty decider where you do laps on different tracks and it takes your sector times and determines where your skill is
