absolutely love code orange, being from Morgantown, WV makes it really cool to hear such an amazing band release such a unique and unapologetically brutal record. definitely one of the most exciting bands in 2020
Bongy: 0:30 More Bonjour: 3:15 Guess who's back: 11:00 Remfry, please put your foot down and demand a nicer chair. Please make Bonjour merch. Also, I listen to you guys at 2x speed, and you legit sound drunk at normal speed. Should I ever bump into you IRL, this will really hurt my brain.
I have a few thoughts on the discussion about Code Orange's possible crossover appeal towards kids into hip hop (especially the newer underground soundcloud scene). I think what's appealing to kids about that style of music today, is the same thing that was appealing to us getting into heavy music when we were kids. For us, metal and hardcore was the sort of music that was angsty, aggressive, our parents didn't understand it and the lyrics were relatable and spoke to us in a certain way - Pretty much all of those points I think can be applied to the newer wave of hip hop today, and I think that the more heavier guitar-based bands play with or associate with artists in that scene, the more kids will be exposed to that sound and actually enjoy it. For example, last year I went and saw Suicideboys and Denzel Curry play with Turnstile and Trash Talk opening. Out of everyone in the crowd, probably only a small handful I noticed seemed like they would've already known of/been into those bands - but every single kid there absolutely went off for Turnstile and Trash Talk, and that no doubt would've been a gateway to hardcore for them.
first Code Orange album that i liked and swallowing the rabbit whole is probably my favorite track this year so far. Big improvement from Forever which was overhyped and disappointing for me. Hope it does well, but don't see it having (almost) any cross over appeal. Also thanks to Stephen Hill for introducing me to beneath the massacre on a trade off long ago. Mechanics of dysfunction turned out to be one of my favorite albums.
I definitely think the pandemic hurt their chances right now. They were going to play Coachella, but everything is put on hold right now. They did do The Fiend's theme song in WWE, which got them some attention. The song Underneath also is the theme for NXT: In Your House and they performed at the event. That has also got a lot of new fans on their videos because I see the comments. They are definitely getting some crossover appeal, but with the pandemic everything is put on hold right now.

Remfry Deadman does sound like one of those avenged sevenfold names they give themselves.
It shouldn't be understated that this video is longer than Dose Your Dreams.

Jami isn’t on drums anymore
Yes he is. He did drums in the studio. He's just solely doing vocals live now
Hahahaha - guys, you’re as “antagonistic” as a bunch of CBBC presenters with a RATM shirt!! 😉
Ed Stafford`s let himself go asn`t he ;)
