The end got me if you think about it sunny had the opportunity to stop attacking mari but because he was angry and stressed out he pushed her down because of fear the game didn't gave sunny the opportunity to stop attacking Mari but in reality he would maybe stopped
Honestly? Now that I see it, I think it's a very bad idea to make the moment Sunny pushed Mari down the stairs into an rpg battle. It's not like the Basil fight, where it was an actual battle, no, there was some pushing and shoving, yeah, but it then soon ended with Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs, also a few other complaints. Mari goes "Sunny, I love you, please stop." towards the end, yet she KEEPS fighting!? Second, the energy bar goes "everything is going to be okay" which doesn't fit this scenario at all, because this is what starts the problem. Thirdly, these two were just pushing each other, and OMORI is pretty realistic about attacks, what with Sunny attacking Aubrey with a knife immediately making her bleed, so pushing wouldn't be enough to actually hurt Sunny that much. Honestly, I think this should have been an animated scene, instead of a rpg battle. I also don't like how unnatural Mari's anger seems, like the moment Sunny leaves she just loses it? It feels very fanfic like imo.

fun fact; if you go to attack the spear mole instead of the shield mole, sheld mole will get more hurt, because it would probably be caught off guard and will take more damage by suddenly protecting, it will also turn down spear mole's defense.

plot twist: right after Sunny pushed her down the stairs, Mari wasn't dead, she was just unconscious. she died of suffocation caused by the rope Basil used to stage her death, which obstructed her breathing.
I have play through it today. The plot is no surprise, but i liked how the creator take further extension of sunburn interaction, heromari secret dates. Its is sad to see Basil is being depicted as a freak with obsession with Sunny. It is hard to proceed the game toward the end, how can everyone push sister Mari down thr stairs? Which i did....
I loved this mod, but I would have changed some stuff for instance, Mari being able to literally kill you... damn, she is mad at Sunny and she is a perfectionist and all that, and her brother broke a violin which costed a lot of work from everyone completely out of the blue from her perspective, since she didnt know what Sunny had been through with the practice and her attitude, but definitely she would not hurt him physically. People usually says that we didnt get to know her actually, and we just know what Sunny wants to remember... all the good stuff she had... and yeah, thats partly true, our mind tends to remember only the bright side of things, and Mari never was perfect, in fact, her perfectionist side made her even less perfect, but I mean, there are LOTS of proofs that prove she was not abusive at all. So no, people saying all that doesnt explain the fact she hit you in this fight. Also, why would Sunny take up violin to spend more time with her if she was like that? It was that perfectionist side that made him feel overwhelmed. It is just a silly thing, but I really would have liked if she didnt hit you, and just prevented Sunny from running away. However, it is understandable she going so mad for the previous reasons, so that part still more than ok. One more little detail I think wasnt done very well is representing how those practice sessions with Mari were. We got to see 3? And, like, the 2 first ones turned out great and Mari didnt say anything bad, but in the last 1, Sunny made 1 mistake, she asked kinda calmed "What was that?", and Sunny literally storms off. There was no build up for that moment, and I think itd have been way better if we had seen more of the darker side of the practices throughout the previous days. But overall, I loved it. One of the best Omori mods which kinda expands my perspectives and headcanons and enrichs the Omori experience, because all we saw here could be canon with no problem tbh, this could have been done by Omocat herself excepting details like the ones I mentioned. Edit: I forgot about my last point I wanted to remark, and it is the feeling that Basil taked it so calmly when saw Mari lying on ghe floor like that with Sunny crying over her and isnt in shock, its like "Nah she must be fine. F*ck... they will take you away if they find her like this, I gotta do something" And doesnt think it twice and comes up with hanging her. Basil's mental health wasnt quite good, but he wouldnt have done that with the attitude shown here. And overall, you would tell by what we saw here that he didnt care about Mari in the slightest, and the one thing worrying him was only Sunny being considered guilty. And I hate that. Thats is impossible. And Basil isnt like that. And finally, once she got hanged, Basil left the backyard so relieved? And Sunny, while being profoundly traumatized, followed him surprisingly fast. It was like, job done, we heading out. And Sunny stopping to look at what they did just before he leaves too, doesnt improve it much. I mean, I bet it would take anyone several minutes to be able to even move. Once again, it is a silly point? I dont know, but it happened way too fast and they seemed more relaxed and calmed than they were actually.
(SPOILER WARNING GRRR) I think Sunny and Basil should have kept Mari in bed, that way their friends would just think she got injured and help her and later she would be fine. Thats so sad that they made even worse
moral of the story: don't fucking throw your violin down the stairs just because you miss hanging out with your friends, especially on the day of the recital. if you had just practiced and gone through with the performance, you could have shown off your skills and made your loved ones proud and NONE of this would've happened. but no, you had to ruin your life and pretty much everyone else's and miss out on all the other amazing experiences that could have come from it. so next time, think before you act and don't let your impatience and longing for instant gratification ruin the bigger picture. you're 12 and i completely understand, but people that age develop a sense of right and wrong, which is why it's important to think before making rash decisions like throwing your violin down the stairs. additionally, i can even imagine how hard and how much your friends saved up for your perfect gift together.
I agree with almost everything you said but I think his age was actually a huge factor. People at that age do develop a sense of right or wrong however they can be impulsive, not foresee the consequences of their actions, and let their emotions make decisions for them. Ofc you still make conscious decisions and know morals when you’re 12, but the frontal lobe (which is responsible for decision making), is still very undeveloped at 12 which objectively contributes a lot to why 12 year olds tend to do the things I mentioned above. I’m just saying I can’t see a let’s say 16 year old Sunny throwing the violin down the stairs or even pushing Mari. That’s just not what a mature 16 year old would do. Bro…. Do you know Sunny’s fingers were BLEEDING cuz of how much he was practicing non-stop?? And that he felt he had no choice cuz he knew how much his friends believed in him? Spent time and money on his violin? It wasn’t just a random tantrum he threw on the day of the incident. It was months of frustration, physical pain, stress, obligations, pressure and deteriorating low self esteem.

(I got both the mod downloader and the mod itself, made sure to put the mod in the mod folder of the downloader without unzipping it, even though I did have to unzip the downloader to put anything in it , and put it in the www file. Did I do something wrong, or does it mention where in the game to drop everything....?)
As much as I like this mod, I feel like it takes some of the intensity away. The day Mari died was so viscerally painful that it's unbearable to even think about for Sunny. You don't get any information about the truth until the very end, showing how far Sunny tried to escape. It's too much to visualize.
