Since Omori was the one who have most control over the all the spaces (Red, Black, White, Head), and these worlds was created to keep Sunny from learning the truth, I think after he was "defeated", the barrier between these worlds has broken down, every space have mixed together, the NPC's disappeared, Sunny's DW friends became theses empty black and white version of themselves, the Distorted Mari we see in this mod is the Headspace one, after these events, she became self aware and is trying to help Sunny somehow. I think, the reason Sunny was dreaming in this new world, because, he still hasn't come to terms with everything that's happened, he still can't accept that he was so easily forgiven by his friends, and that he is about to move away.

You can see that Basil doesn't have a flower in his hair, showing how he finally abandoned the weak and fragile side of him in order to do what is right. Truly a masterpice in storytelling.

Besides the fact that karmic redistribution wouldn't hurt either... what Omori kills is simply inside the HeadSpace, making it not even real... plus his abilities, it would be almost impossible for Sans to win... considering he has 1 HP... plus Omori can save and open the game
