I think my favorite thing about Ultimate Weapons is that the weapons count for 100% of the stats on the equipment slot. Having an extra 20 points in healing R ability for Aerith or Matt is massive in some quests.
yes defently also getting full use of brand aswell which also should be flat stats
Being able to using healing showers on some ex missions without spending ATB is a gamechanger. It saved me for both ex Levi and ramuh fights. Even if it's just once, there's generally that make or break part of the fight where you NEED to save your atb for buffs instead of heals.
Something else to note about Ultimate Weapons: you can only use them once per dungeon. So try to save them for the bosses that you are struggling with the most (like the last one typically).

Remember to hold off on picking one until Guild battles so you guys have the best chance. Only issue it's a extra animation towards the timer.
It is an animation of a normal attack; not a Limit Break. Other characters do their thing still. So you might clip like an Auto-attack animation or delay use of a ATB ability (and accidentally cap). Less of an issue towards guild battle timers like Limit Breaks.
It's pretty simple , just waste all atb and then use it while the atb is building . Also , the next guild battle is supposed to play like mock battles if I'm remembering right

Yeah, I use Cloud, Seph and Aerith. Pulled Seph's luckily and got Cloud's. Will likely get Aeriths's but might use the Anniversary stuff to build up someone else like Red or Yuffie.

Re: clutch moments for ultimate weapons… cloud and aeriths got my ramuh2 kill the other night. For the 2x judgment bolt towards the end of the fight I didn’t have enough time to heal above 70% + 4 more atb for kamura wand so I used aerith emergency heal and used reds cure-all. Then said oh crap I don’t have atb to matk the boss with red so popped clouds matk down braver. Won the fight
This was so helpful decided to invest in the aerith one since she is my main healer and sephiroth because he is my main DPS

2 Notes:
1) Matt’s weapon is important because he does not have a healing limit. This is essentially an extra healing stat stick that is also slapping Breath of the Earth on Matt, that ignores healing potency, which means that especially F2P starting healers can be carried better in harder coop content, as they will have the extra healing needed at the crucial moment.
2) because it ignores healing potency, it can also be used in a potential DPS Matt build (assuming we have a reason to build him DPS, he still has a killer attire and killer hornet), that can cleanse and heal at the right moment. This adds an extra healing limit to the table but in contrast to how Aerith has her healing limit becoming meh when she is dressed for DPS, this one will heal regardless.
As you said In the beginning it’s about favorites. So my number 1 will be Glenn. Number 2 is my second best / areith butttt 11:17 I might have to do Vincent second because his kit is very powerful and I’ve got his ultimates already pretty strong. I might go Vincent second. Arieth 3rd. (I’m terrible at spelling her name)

The best one is obviously genji.
But that aside. The best ones will be those that will be the main DPS in the next guild battle.
Even if the buff is selfish, or not even that great, the extra stats alone will be a significant deciding factor.
Chances are the UC abilities will eat up timer just like regular limits do, so it won't be worth using any of them, maybe even Genji.
I got Matt since he’s a fave, and Glenn to help out with Floor 100 and Ramuh. Next on the priority list is either Aerith or Yuffie.

I think Lucia's UT is so good because of the r.abilities, remember her limit break buffs the party's attack, so you can be spamming that and sub DPS with her with fire, earth, ice, even electric
Yes it is and that's really the main focus of these weapons when it comes to the whole fight vs 1 use U.C abilities.
I would've waited and picked Aeriths weapon if I knew the power jump at lvl 59 of tower was going to be so insane.. Picked Seph's weapon. Now stuck with 86 tokens and can't get past lvl 59, to get the rest of the second 100 tokens.. Hope the tokens don't expire after event..
Think your forgetting about SIlver Collar, REd 13 can definitely fits a healer role with it.
Not as strong as weapon ability heals, but at OB (I think it was 7 or 8) the healing R ability is THE highest (Same as Centipede), and so heals more than Kamura Wand or Microlazer with the CUre all slot
Ive beaten Ramuh Ex 1 with it so far, need more DPS to do Ex 2 tho
I don’t have great buffers (yet) and tifa is my main so this works pretty good for extra damage for me, as of right now anyways

Cloud is everyones main dps - and here is me, not using him at all since day 1

I think we're sleeping on the fact that yuffies selfish UW EXTENDS her patk/matk by 30s too. not just 8s or something, but a full on 30 on top of whats already there. Could be somewhat clutch during moments buffer has to focus on heals or something
EDIT: Although i also just noticed now, most of them exten 30s xD never noticed till this video rofl.
UW are one time buy, and dont need extra copies, so in the end of the day, we get all someday, just now is who get first

Wym Red is not really a healer, he is a healer lol.
in 99% of the content in the game u can mainhand silver collar on him, which along with his ultimate weapon gets him UP to lvl 9 healing by itself.
It's a great weapon for when Red can't spend as much atb on healing and on utility instead from his 2ndary weapon, and it goes well with whatever he uses, as he, for the most part can be built as healer.
AT LEAST I've personally used Red mainly as a healer for all content in the game, even including Jenova B100 and it worked well, this weapon amplifies what he does well already.
I feel like you've focused too much on active skills of those ultimate weapons and completly neglected the build options those weapons give us from r-abilities and thier base stats alone.
Didn't neglect it I said right in the start of the video the weapons r abilities make them all worth it alone. I wanted to focus more on the active ability because that's what you'll be using in battle. With 1 time cast of 27% and Regen for 12 sec it's not super impressive in the harder content compared to the others.
Aww I almost thought Matt’s weapon restored 25% LOST Max HP that’s missing like in Crisis Dungeons 😓

Octo ranking Glenn weapon as a “lowest pick” when is literally top tier for the hardest content we have right now in the game (Ramuh EX2 + BT 100) because of the R. Abilities and not only the UC ability makes me disagree with a bunch of his observations, but like he said, in the end of the day it’s all up to what you use and your account, everyone will be biased based on what they use and the pick priority will vary from player to player…
I agree 100% you not beating ramuh ex2 without that Ultimate weapon, even with it, its still a legit struggle 💯
Yep that's why I said in begging of the video that all of these are S tier depending on the quest and situation and who you use.
However, like he said more importantly it's a stat stick. And Glen doesn't really excell as a main dps or a support, healer. And you have to remember this is only a one time use. Characters like Cloud, who is a great main DPS, Red XIII, who is arguably the best debuffer in the game for "End game" or the hardest content we have to offer like EX 2 Summon battles. Both have MDEF up all weapon that can be used throughout the entire battle. With that being said, Glen also already has Hardcore Squad. I agree that every UW has it's place somewhere, but if you're trying to clear Ramuh EX 2 Matt and Aeriths Guild Weapons Ob7 Lvl110 for sub weapons are going to be half the battle ;) I don't think one use of MDEF up all will help at all.
@IrCrysis Are you serious?? Literally Glenn and Red are used at B100 and Ramuh Ex2 which is the hardest battles in the game. Just listen to facts next time ⏲️
@@jesusbnksWell I stated that Red XII was the best debuffer for end game content. So no arguments there. And I get he's a good DPS for Ramuh Ex2 specifically with OB10 LB weapon and Costume with his Water Potency Up weapon. But that's a ton of investment that most players will not make for one singular battle. When Glen is outshined in literally every other way. And with a few more potential weapon drops and probably one more Guild battle. He'll be killable without Glen, because it's very niche and not everyone invested in into him like that 🤷♂️ I also stated that every UW has it's use. In this case it would be a stat stick for a very niche build of Glen that probably over 99% of the game population doesn't have built. Red XIII is applicable to end game content with OB0 weapons. I know because I don't invest in him either and I beat pretty much all Summon EX with him in my party. Except Ex2 Ramuh.
How did you get 200? I cleared up to floor 54 and got 178 total, is it from Bahamut Alba Ex2?
The rest is from the Cetra story quest.

Parked in front of the R abilities for the entire vid, until that godly Buff Extension. Never will understand what people see in that. I mean, yes, it sucks that self buffs only last for 10 seconds, but that isn't a reason to throw good money after bad. I only ever buff myself as a counter to debuffing, and then how does it matter how long it lasts.
Some of those harder fights are EXTREMELY obnoxious if you waste ATB reapplying buffs over and over instead of dealing damage or healing , knowing when buff extensions are good and necessary and how to effectivelly use them is what differentiate people getting past some fights or getting stuck at them for a while.
Not going to agree with this list i find Red XIII way to high hes last place for me also Vincent should go down behind cait sith it only brings him and not others. sephiroth should be at 1st place due to this high dmg doing 3x more than all the others also tifa and yuffie should be much higher due to self buffing so you healer just needs to focus on healing and buffing you defenses also those have great R. abilitys Also cloud & zack both needs to be 2nd and 3th place because such good utility for you party also great R. abilitys.
But overall this is just the beginning since all are 1 time only uses and we do get 300x pieces from the first event and can gear up our best team for the content also note do not upgrade this to 120 only 110 at max. i Personally got clouds first and got Aeriths next and my last will be Tifa or Lucia deciding later.
Like I said in the beginning of the video every weapon is a stat stick & has great R.abilities so the list doesn't really fully focus on that because all of them are great. The list will be different for everyone because of who they have built & the list I have goes off a what will always be useful in any scenario. Example is Zack & Clouds debuff won't happen for a lot of fights because of enemies immunities which keeps them as A ranks compared to the healers buffs since they benefit the party.
Every quest will have it's challenges giving each of these to be the best pick on who you use.

check the missions tab of the tower. you might not have collected from there?
You get some from the EX fights in the other, that may make up the difference.
Octo was wrong about the 200 from the tower. Tower til 50 only has 130. There are 70 medals from Alba EX 1 and 2.
Then another 8 from the rest of the tower that was unlocked so far
